Central FC, Civic Pioneers win in WoLF?.

Central FC and Civic Pioneers posted crucial wins on Saturday to help keep them both in 2nd and 3rd place of the Premier Division; Civic Pioneers has won their last 4 games consecutively which moved them into second place although they have the same number of points as Central FC's 12 points.

 This weekend, the Pt. Fortin based travelled to the Dibe Recreation Ground, Long Circular to face Real Dimension. The Pt. Fortin Team won 3-1 with Tasha St. Louis completely dominating and leading her team to victory, St. Louis netted 2 goals in 49' and 79', while national midfielder Karyn Forbes scored the first goal in the 9'.

The Central FC Lady Sharks were given quite a scare when Defence Force took the lead in the very early minutes of the game with a nice shot from Ashley Quashie.

The army girls would increase their lead by 2 goals when Sheneice Pierre was fouled in the box; Jemilia Mathlin would make no mistake when called upon to take the penalty. Central FC, with the inclusion of National Captain Maylee Attin-Johnson, would not be deterred when National U-20 Captain Anique Walker pounced on free ball from a corner and beat on rushing goalkeeper, Adanna Humes, to flick it into the back of the net. 

Defence Force once again extended their lead when Pierre beat her marker and shot far post as the ball skidded under Central FC Custodian.It would be end to end action, and the Lady Sharks would get their chance to narrow the lead when Walker was fouled in the box. Marissa Mohammed would step up and score decisively. The half would end with Defence Force leading 3-1.

In the second half Mathlin would score her second goal at the resumption of the second half to give Defence Force a 4-2 lead, but this is when the game would change in favor of the Lady Sharks as they scored 3 unanswered goals from Verlea DuPrea, Akilah Sparks and Jennette Wilson to come from behind and win 5-2.

Central FC and St. Augustine still have a match outstanding after the match between these 2 teams had to be stopped when the Goalkeeper fainted on the field and could not be moved until the proper medical authorities attended to her; this resulted in the match being called off with 36 minutes remaining to be played.
