St Ann’s Rangers continued their winning streak in the Women’s Football League (WoLF) Super League on Saturday when they hammered Point Fortin Pioneers 7-0 at the Carenage Recreation Ground.

The prolific Natasha St Louis led her team’s campaign with a hat-trick, followed by a double from Ranae Ward and individual strikes from Kaydeen Jack and Tisha-Leah Pope. St Louis opened the scoring in the 39th minute and added two more goals in the 61st and 75th minute. Ward’s items came in the 65th and 73rd while Jack and Pope rounded off the scoring in the 41st and 79th respectively.

The Pioneers, weakened by the unavailability of a few key players, were unable to muster a response and have sunk to second from bottom on the standings with just a point from four matches. The victory was the fourth on a trot for the St Ann’s outfit, following their 3-1 triumph over Queen’s Park CC last week. They now sit on the top of the eight-team standings on 12 points with 13 goals scored and two received.

Their closest rival, second place WI Sports Real Dimensions hammered Club Sando 9-0. Their attractive smooth-passing game earned them the opening goal from defender Jenelle Cunningham in the ninth minute and later a hat-trick from Jermelia Mathlin in the 11th, 25th and 33rd minute.

Telesia Joseph and Shenelle Henry completed a 6-0 half-time lead before Joseph added her second in the 59th and Tamika Isaac (53rd) and Kachelle Clark completing the rout.

Meanwhile, third on the table St Augustine FC were also triumphant at the weekend, thrashing the Queen’s Park, also known popularly as the Parkites 3-1. It took 14 minutes before the St Augustine women could open the scoring through Kedie Johnson.

The Parkites had hardly recovered when St Augustine added another goal in the 16th minute. QPCC pulled a goal back in the 75th from Christine Rose and seem heading for the equaliser, until they were stopped in their tracks a minute later. Nadine Liverpool ended their hopes of a recovery with her goal in the 76th minute, which also assured their position on the standings in the Super League.

In another Super League clash Petrotrin got a lone strike from the boot Dernelle Mascall in the 87th minute to seal a 1-0 win over Tobago Chicas.

In the First Division Adanya Phillip fired in five goals asTrincity Nationals continued to slaughter their opponents in the division, coming away with a 9-0 thrashing of Central United at the New Settlement Recreation Ground in Caroni. The other goals for Trincity Nationals came from Shenelle Warrick, Kelsey Henry, Elisa Olivero and Nickisha James.

The win has placed the easterners atop the standings with an unblemished record of four wins in as many matches on 12 points. They have scored an amazing 35 goals to date and are yet to conceed their first goal for the season.

In another game Diego Martin edged St Augustine 3-2 at the Real Maracas Recreation Ground in St Joseph.

ST ANN’S RANGERS (12 points) extended their unbeaten run of form in the 2016 Trinidad and Tobago Women’s League Football (TT WoLF) to four wins in as many matches as Natasha St. Louis’ 39th minute opener cleared the way for a 7-0 drubbing of Point Fortin Pioneers (one point) when Round Four action took place at the Carenage Recreation Ground on Saturday.

St Louis, the younger sister of national women’s team player Tasha, would go on to net a hat-trick (61st and 75th) and help her team maintain their position atop the Super League standings. Rangers whiffed several chances in the one-sided affair, but eventually found the net courtesy St Louis.

Junior national player Kaydeen Jack would extend their lead in the 41st as the league leaders entered the half-time period 2-0 ahead.

In the second half, St Louis completed her hat-trick while another national junior player, Ranae Ward scored a double in the 65th and 73rd. Tisha-Leah Pope would seal Rangers victory in the 75th.

In other matches, second-ranked WI Sports Real Dimension (nine points) continued their onslaught of goals against a younger and less experienced Club Sando FC (one point), handing them a 9-0 whipping.

National utility player, Jenelle Cunningham, started the attack by netting in the ninth minute. Jemilia Mathlin then recorded a swift 22-minute hat-trick, scoring in the 11th, 25th and 33rd to push them 4-0 ahead.

Real Dimension showed no mercy however, as former national forward, Telesia Joseph got on the scoresheets in the 15th and Shenelle Henry netted in the 42rd, giving them a 6-0 lead at the half.

Into the second segment, the WI Sports sponsored unit continued run amok, as they again found the back of the net in the 53rd, 59th and 61st from Tamika Isaac, Telesia Joseph and Kachelle Clark respectively.

Additionally, visitors St Augustine beat Queen’s Park 3-1 in the first match at the Carenage Recreation Ground on Saturday.

Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Female Player of the Year, Kedie Johnson, would give the St Augustine team the lead in the 14th followed by youth national forward, Laurel Theodore, who extended the lead two minutes later.

Both teams continued to battle, as a victory for either would put them in clear third place.

The Parkites got a glimmer of hope in the 75th from Christine Rose to make the score 2-1; but St Augustine would respond right away as Nadine Liverpool made it 3-1. The last few minutes of the game intensified and Queen’s Park had St Augustine pinned in their defensive half, but the ‘Gustine custodian Nicollette Craig, was always there and had a solid performance to help seal the win for her side.

And on Sunday, Petrotrin hosted Tobago Chicas and was able to steal away with their second victory for the season with an 87th goal from national midfielder and Super League coach, Dernelle Mascall.

In the First Division, Trincity Nationals continued their ‘goalfest’ against Central United, defeating their counterparts 9-0. Adanya Phillip took the spotlight, scoring five, while Shanelle Warrick, Nickisha James and Kelsey Henry each got on the scorecards.

Diego Martin went home to St Augustine FC at the Maracas Recreation Ground and edged their hosts 3-2.
