Having already taken a first leg win, league leader WASA FC will be expected to take full points when it hosts mid-table club Siparia Spurs, when another exciting round of matches kicks off in the blink/bmobile National Super League, today. The key match will be played on WASA Ground, St Joseph.

WASA, also known as the “Waterboys”, remains with a one point lead at the top, ahead of second-placed bmobile Joe Public. Spurs was agonisingly close to shaving points off the current leader with a goalless stalemate when the two teams met back in July, but an effort from Glen Walker in the dying moments, meant that WASA would remain on top of the 12-team standings, in a position which it still occupies.

The second-placed Joe Public, which won the original encounter this season 2–1, will also be looking to complete a double, when the 2011 treble-trophy winning club travels to the former capital to challenge Real Maracas, at the Maracas Recreation Ground, St Joseph.

Both matches and all others with the exception of FC Santa Rosa’s clash with Biche United, will kick off at 4 pm. The battle of the newly-promoted teams, Santa Rosa and Biche will commence at 5.30 pm at UTT Ground, O’Meara.

The other title influencing match will see third-placed Westside Superstarz take a trip to Tobago to face 1976 FC Phoenix, which sits fifth, just under Stokely Vale on goal differential.

However, unlike the other two featured matches, Westside had a much easier task sealing a win in its first leg encounter with Phoenix. A double from Troy Thompson and Qian Grosvenor led Westside to the simplest of victories.
