Peterborough Today.
16-Dec-2005 - Trinidad & Tobago international Andre Boucaud could go straight from the Aldershot substitutes' bench to the Posh starting line-up at Mansfield tomorrow (3pm).
The 21 year-old midfielder has returned from his three-month loan spell in the Conference just in time to cover a Posh midfield dilemma caused by a suspension for Paul Carden and Peter Gain's injury.
Gain has said he wants to play at Field Mill, but manager Mark Wright will only agree if the player convinces him he's 100 per cent fit. Youngsters Jamie Hand, Shane Huke and Adam Fry are the midfield alternatives to Boucaud.
Wright said: "Andre is our player again and as we have might have problems in midfield tomorrow he could get a chance.
"Obviously I would like Peter Gain to play, but I won't risk him ahead of the busy Christmas period. If he's 100 per cent fit he'll start, but I can't take any chances with him.
"I thought Shane Huke was excellent in his first game on Tuesday, but I'll have to see how he's come out of the match before making any decisions."
Boucaud started the first game of the League Two season, but hasn't appeared since. He made 13 appearances for The Shots, but lost his place when they signed veteran midfielder Brian Tinnion.

17-Sept-2005 - Terry Brown's talks with Peterborough United starlet Andre Boucaud bore fruit on Friday afternoon as the young midfielder put pen to paper on a three month loan deal.
Andre has been unable to secure a regular place this season despite some fine performances since Barry Fry lured him from Reading. Current Posh manager Mark Wright has been looking to make room in his squad for the signing of more cover and Andre seems to be one of the men making way.
It is thought that Andre may be seen as providing the creative flair missing from the midfield. With Gary Holloway - who can also play an orthordox midfield role - out injured, Andre could provide the support to the front two that has been missing from a central position.
The signing was completed in time to allow Andre to be available for the Conference fixture at home to Stevenage. The deal also means Andre will also be available for cup competitions during his stay at the Recreation Ground.

Andre Boucaud can be a star.

Peterborough Today.
03-Aug-2005 - Trinidad and Tobago international midfield maestro Andre Boucaud has been tipped for big things in League Two. The enigmatic 20 year-old is set for a first-team starting place in the League Two opener against Chester at London Road on Saturday, providing he recovers from an ankle injury.
Posh boss Mark Wright confirmed that Boucaud would have started last weekend's friendly against Birmingham when the likely first choice XI played for the first hour of the game.
Wright said: "Andre is a very good player going forward with the ball at his feet. There are some issues with his defensive work, but we've been working on him and I think he's taking what we want from him on board.
"He suffered an ankle injury out of the blue in training last week when we were just doing some crossing and shooting which was a shame because he would have played against Birmingham.
"Andre is one of a few injury problems we have at the moment, but he is the most likely of them to be fit for the Chester match. "He didn't play much in the first team last season, but he has ability and I expect him to be a big player this year." Boucaud started just 15 first-team games last season for Peterborough United, scoring one goal in a 4-0 win over Port Vale.

Andre Boucaud hope to force their way into T&T’s World Cup squad.

22-May-2004 - Andre Boucaud is hoping to make an impact on the T&T side, the 19-year-old English-born midfielder who was recommended to St Clair by former English-born player Ronnie Mauge. Boucaud is getting to know his new teammates and said his enthusiasm on representing T&T has grown over the past two days since putting on the national training gear which is now being provided by Brazilian sportswear company Finta.
“I am really happy to be with the rest of the squad now and getting the opportunity to vie for a spot in the team. I’m enjoying all of it so far,” Boucaud, who was born in North, London, told TTFF Media on Thursday evening.
“Ronnie Mauge was really the one who put the idea across to me about playing for T&T. He spoke highly of the set up there and having played already for the country, I think he was quite sure what he was talking about. I’ve been to Trinidad many times before as my dad is from Belmont and my mom comes from Princes Town, so I guess now is just he right opportunity to become more of a ‘Trini’ by trying to contribute from a football point,” said Boucaud who signed a new two-year deal with English Second Division side Peterborough last week following a stint with Reading FC where he played alongside T&T’s Anthony Rougier and goalkeeper Kelvin Jack.
“I really want to be part of the team for the World Cup qualifiers. I have trained with the lads and already I can see that they can play and that we can get to Germany. I think it just has to be a matter of us getting it right on match days. Being part of a World Cup is my biggest dream and I think I can achieve that dream with Trinidad and Tobago.

Andre Boucaud signs a two-year deal with Peterborough United.

14-May-2004 - Peterborough United manager Barry Fry has completed the signing of Andre Boucaud on a two-year deal and the talented youngster is delighted with the opportunity of first team football at London Road.
Boucaud was released from First Division Reading last week and manager Barry Fry held negotiations with the midfield man and his agent at London Road on Friday with the Posh boss pleased to persuade the skilful player to join Posh.
Fry told theposh.com: 'Andre Boucaud is an outstanding talent, as he has shown me, the Posh players and the fans during his loan spell earlier this season and last year. I have had negotiations with Reading all season, they wanted a substantial fee and then they included him in a deal to take Leon McKenzie to the Madjeski Stadium.
'I am rather surprised and absolutely delighted that I have managed to sign him on a free transfer. Andre has enormous talent and given the opportunity I am sure he will prove what a great player he is and what a great acquisition he will prove to be.'
Boucaud told The Posh World: 'I was just glad to get out of Reading to be honest and this represents a fresh start for me. I am delighted to sign for Peterborough, I know a lot of the players from my loan spells here and Barry is very enthusiastic.
'Hopefully next season we can have a good season because I know that Posh struggled a bit this year. I am still young and first team football is very important at my age, so I am delighted to sign for Peterborough United,' Boucaud said.
