Tasha St. Louis closed out the scoring for Trinidad & Tobago with two minutes remaining in the encounter for the 2:0 final.
Both will meet again in the second-leg set for Wednesday (12 November) at the Andres Kamperveen Stadium in Parmaribo at 19:00.
The winner joins Canada, Haiti, USA and the host Costa Rica in the Final Round of the CONCACAF Womens Olympic Qualification from 25 February 7 March 2004 in San José. The eight-team tournament will qualify two nations to the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
