Five Cardinal seniors earned BIG EAST men's soccer postseason honors, as awards and all-conference teams were announced on Thursday evening at the 2011 BIG EAST Men's Soccer Championship banquet, held at the Short Hills Hilton. Seniors Austin Berry and Nick DeLeon earned first team honors while seniors Andre Boudreaux, Colin Rolfe and Kenney Walker earned second team honors.

Berry, a Hermann Trophy Candidate, earned first team honors for the second consecutive season in his third career All-BIG EAST campaign. Berry has anchored the Cardinal defense this season at center back, helping Louisville to 11 shutouts this. He has one goal and two assists on the season. He was named BIG EAST Defender of the Week on Oct. 10.

DeLeon earned first team honors for the second straight season. He ranks second on the team in scoring with four goals and six assists. He scored a career-high three points against Cincinnati and Villanova. DeLeon also leads the team in shots with 60 on the year.

Boudreaux earns his first postseason BIG EAST honors. The senior currently has a career best in goals against average this season with a 0.67 mark. He has 11 shutouts on the season and owns the Louisville career record with 37 shutouts in his four seasons in goal. He has collected a season-high five saves three times this season.

Rolfe, a Hermann Trophy Candidate, earned postseason BIG EAST honors for the fourth time. Rolfe leads the team in scoring 20 points (7 goals, 6 assists). Rolfe recorded his first hat trick with three goals against Providence in the BIG EAST Tournament first round game. He earned College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer's National Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 7. Rolfe was also named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll three times this season. He is a finalist for the Lowe's Senior Class Award and ranks third on Louisville's all-time career list in points, goals and assists.

Walker earns postseason BIG EAST honors for the second consecutive season. He is tied for second on the team in goals with four on the year and ranks third in points with 13. Walker scored the game-winning goals against Ohio State, Indiana, and Cincinnati. He was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week on Oct. 10. Walker has dished out five assists on the year.

Louisville will face Connecticut in the BIG EAST Championship semifinals tomorrow in Harrison, N.J., at the Red Bull Stadium. The Cards have made the BIG EAST semifinals four times in the last five seasons.
