The UDC Firebird Men’s Soccer Team  notched their first win of the 2008 season this afternoon, defeating the Goldey-Beacom Lightning 8-2 in Washington, DC. Freshman forward Karl Moukagna performed a hat trick while scoring four of the UDC goals to lead the team to the win.

Freshman forward Akeil Belfon scored two of the  goals, sophomore Samer Shehadeh and senior team captain Gueswende Kyemtore scored one apiece to bring the total to eight.  The Firebirds more than made-up for their off beat performance last week against Wilmngton College, and now look to establish a win streak  by defeating Shippensburg University this coming Wednesdy, at home.
