Three players from the Milligan College men's soccer team were named Friday as members of the AAC All-Conference Team. Five more players were named to the AAC All-Academic Team.

Senior goalkeeper Bryan Newbold (Sylva, N.C.) was named to the All-Conference First Team. Newbold averaged 6.42 saves per game with a 76.3 save percentage this season, starting every game.

Junior midfielder Philip Wilson (Middlesbrough, England) was awarded a place on the All-Conference Second Team. Freshman defender Andrew Stewart (Newcastle, England) was also awarded a place on the All-Conference Third Team.

Seniors Josh Stephens (Jacksonville Beach, Fla.) and Newbold as well as juniors Jason Watts (High Point, N.C.) , Travis Philips (Winston-Salem, N.C.) and Joel Cowan (Mt. Grace, Trinidad & Tobago) were all named members of the AAC All-Academic Team.

Players on the All-Academic Team are required to hold a 3.25 GPA and participate in at least half of the scheduled games.
