Jai Maw scored in overtime on Saturday afternoon to lift the Panthers to a 2-1 win over Olivet Nazarene on the road.  The goal came after Gerard John-Williams scored the equalizer in the 90th minute for DU.

Looking to end a two game skid that saw the Panthers fall to Grand View (RV) and Judson (20), DU hit the road once again on Saturday. Early on, DU controlled the play but could not get a leg up in the scoring and eventually fell behind when the Tigers scored in the 32nd minute.

That lead would hold until halftime as Davenport finished the first half getting outshot 7-4.

The score would remain 1-0 in favor of the home team until late in the game.  When it looked like the Tigers qould escape with the 1-0 win, Gerard John-Williams took a pass from John Girasoli (Glasgow, Scotland) and headed the ball by the ONU keeper for the equalizer with only 56 seconds remaining in regulation.

Headed to overtime, with momentum clearly on their side, the Panthers possessed the ball for the majority of the first seven minutes and finally broke through with the game winner from Jai Maw at 97:55.

Kevin O'Brien (Cork, Ireland) finished with five saves in the game as he picked up his seventh win of the season.

The win lifts Davenport to 7-4-0 on the year and they will play their final non-conference game next Saturday at Saginaw Valley State University.  Game time in University Center is set for 2:30pm.
