Adelphi University sophomore Brandon Stoneham (Kanata, Canada) was named Atlantic Soccer Conference (ASC) Player of the Week, while senior Thorne Holder (Port of Spain, Trinidad) was named ASC Goalkeeper of the Week as announced by the conference office on October 19. Freshman Nicholas Costa was also named Rookie of the Week, this is the first ASC honor of the season for both Stoneham and Costa and the fourth for Holder.

Stoneham picked a perfect time to scor his first goal of the season, breaking a scoreless tie against ASC foe Howard on Sunday afternoon. His header would prove to be the match-winning goal in the 67th minute.

Holder posted 155 minutes of scoreless soccer over a pair of conference matches last weekend. He collected three saves, playing the final 65 minutes of a double-overtime 0-0 tie against Longwood on Friday night before recording a shutout win, with four saves on Sunday against Howard.

Costa tallied his first career goal in Adelphi's 2-0 victory over Howard on Sunday afternoon. His score came in the 75th minute and pushed the Panthers ahead 2-0.

Adelphi returns to action on Wednesday, October 20 when they travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania to take on Bucknell.
