LSPORTO CONNECTION sewed up second place in the National Super League in emphatic fashion when they blasted slumping Moruga United 13-0 in their penultimate league match of the season on Friday at Otis Memorial Park, Moruga.
The Moruga team were coming off a 16-0 drilling from Harvard on Tuesday and got no sympathy from Michael Alexis (37th, 38th, 42nd, 45th & 75th), who scored five goals; and Kevin Baptiste (43rd, 67th, 77th & 80th), who notched a beaver-trick.
Joseph Peters (15th & 65th), Jason Sampson (7th) and Kirston Graham (89th) scored as well.
Having won the title last year while playing under the name Crab Connection, the Lsporto bunch have now reached an unassailable 55 points and cannot be caught by either Superstar Rangers or Police.
Both 2004 champions Joe Public and bottom-placed Carib reached centuries of sorts in their games.
Joe Public beat the Beer Boys 12-0 to take their season's goalscoring tally to more than 100, while Carib have conceded more than 100 goals.
