JOE PUBLIC Football Club completed the league and knockout double when they outclassed Angostura 1976 Phoenix 6-1 in Tobago on Wednesday night in the 2004 National Super League knockout final.

Having knocked out LSporto Connection at the semi-final stage, Tobago giant-killers Phoenix were never made to feel at home and were trailing by a goal after eight minutes, when Jamaican Under-23 striker Roen Nelson found the back of the net to put "Eastern Lions" Joe Public in the lead.

Devon Caseman then converted a 22nd minute penalty to double Joe Public's tally and Nelson, top scorer in the league this season, got his second to put Joe Public comfortably ahead 3-0 in the 38th minute.

Kayode Legall pulled one back for Phoenix in the 40th minute to make it 3-1 at the halfway stage.

Five minutes into the second half, Collington Smith scored to put Joe Public up at 4-1, before late goals from Caseman in the 80th minute and Jason Springer (85th) completed the victory, which was already secured at the beginning of the second half.
