WASA stretched their advantage over the chasing pack in the Bmobile National Super League to six points after action in Match Day 16 took place on Sunday. WASA got a pair of late goals to defeat Harlem Strikers 4-2 at Frederick Settlement, Caroni.
But the league leaders took the lead, once again, for good, with late strikes from Darin Lewis (80th) and Fabian Garcia (88th).
Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix moved into second spot after mauling M&M Harvard 5-0 at Canaan, Bon Accord, with a double from Dominique Kerr (16th and 75th) and one apiece from Lejandro Williams (80th), Kevin Keith (82nd) and Simon Nedd (90th).

Ricardo Bennett put the “Crabs” in front in the 19th but Marlon Bowen equalised ten minutes later, and Keron Edwards notched the winner for St Francois in second half stoppage time.
Club Sando held off a late surge from University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) to prevail 3-2 at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.
Derron Matthews (17th and 23rd) and Jason Boodram (43rd) put Club Sando 3-0 up at halftime while Brenton Bain (63rd) and Mickel Courtney (67th) got a late pair for UTT. Match Day 17 action is scheduled to take place on September 28.
