Sylvester Teesdale netted a hat-trick as leaders T&TEC mauled Valtrin 9-0 in their (Match Day 18) encounter of the bmobile National Super League at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, yesterday.

 

Teesdale opened the scoring with his first after 26 minutes, before Anthony Noreiga made it 2-0 three minutes later. The in-form Kevon Neaves then sent the “Electricity Boys” into the break with a 3-0 advantage, as he netted in the 43rd minute.

The flood gates burst open after Brent Garcia made it 4-0 in the 63rd minute. This was followed by a Jamal Ayres goal three minutes later 5-0, before Teesdale netted his second and third in the 73rd and 85th minutes respectively to make it 7-0.

Kerron Benito added goal number eight in the 88 minute, before Willan Garcia punctuated the match with the final goal in the 90th minute. This make it win number 11 for the unbeaten utility company team, and a return to winning ways.

T&TEC went down to Goal City of Tobago 2-1 in the T&T Football Federation (T&TFF) FA Cup Round of 32 match, and were held to a 2-2 draw by another sister isle team Stokely Vale on Sunday in Match day 17 action.

They have now moved to 37 points in the standings, maintaining their five point lead over fellow utility company WASA, who were also in winners row.

The water company eased pass Club Sando 3-0 at the WASA ground, St Joseph. Shervin Charles netted his team’s only goal in the first half, with a strike in the 24th minute to make it 1-0.

Fabian Garcia added the second in the 74th minute, before Kevon Cornwall sealed the deal with a strike a minute from time to make it 3-0.

The “Water Boys” will be happy with the win, after suffering their third defeat of the league on Sunday, going down to 1976 Phoenix of Tobago, 1-0.
