NOTE: Errol has been an integral part of Nejmeh’s team ever since he
joined the team, as they lifted the League title in 2000 (when he scored 21
goals in his debut season) and 2003 (with 15 goals). Errol was also on the San
Juan Jabloteh when they lifted the Trinidad and Tobago Pro League crown in 2002.
Errol made sporadic appearances with the national team since his debut in the
2002 World Cup qualifier against the United States. In fact, he seemed to join
the list of forgotten men in Trinidad and Tobago football until he was included
in the T&T squad to face St Vincent in a World Cup qualifier, Aug-2004. That
game proved to be a blessing in disguise as he scored both goals in T&T’s
2-0 victory, and followed up with another strike in T&T’s 2-1 win over St
Kitts in another World Cup qualifier, on September, 4th, 2004. Now in 2007 he's
back again on the T&T team and this time hope's to stay on for a longer
time.

Errol McFarlane joins Iceland team.

11-May-2005 - Former Defence Force striker Errol McFarlane has signed a
one-year contract with Iceland Professional team Breidablik FC.
Through his agent, Mike Berry, McFarlane signed the dotted line last month and
is expected to feature in the first team when the season begins this month.

Cup qualifier against Mexico last October. He earlier scored three goals in
respective World Cup qualifying wins over St Vincent and the Grenadines and St
Kitts/Nevis.
“At the moment I have agreed to sign with the club here after spending a
short time on trial. I think it’s a good opportunity for me to be playing
out here and hopefully I can gain from it because the aim is still to get
through with a deal in England which my agent continues to work on,”
McFarlane said on the weekend.

TnT Errol Mcfarlane nets 2 for club Nejmeh.

10-May-2002 - According to news of the Nejmeh website, Nejmeh defeated Shabab
Sahel [2-1] in the match that took place last Sunday at the Beirut Sports City
stadium in Lebanon. The match goals were scored by Mahmoud Majeed for club
Sahel and Trinidad and Tobago international Errol McFarlane in the 58th and
70th minute for Nejmeh, McFarlane now tally his goal count to 9.
Nejmeh turned its [0-1] first half deficit into a victory thanks to resurgent
TnT striker McFarlane who found himself at the right time and inspired Nejmeh
to a vital win over Sahel with 2 more stages till the end of the championship.
Nejmeh extended its lead for another week with 57 pts.
A victory next week for Nejmeh against Racing would eliminate any chances for
Tadamoun Sour on the title, and keep it between Nejmeh & Sagesse who faces
Shabab Sahel next week.

T&T'S Errol McFarlane says: I'm no deserter.
By KEITH CLEMENT.
11-Jan-2002 - Trinidad and Tobago's striker Errol McFarlane is upset of being
labelled a deserter by national coach Rene Simoes.
Speaking from his home in Lebanon yesterday, McFarlane, who plays for Al
Nejmeh in the Lebanese First Division, was responding to comments made by
Brazilian Professor Simoes that he was very unhappy with the player's decision
to put club before country regarding the Gold Cup.
Midfield defender Anthony Rougier of Reading in the English Second Division,
who asked to be excused from the tournament, also came in for criticism from
the coach.
Simoes said: "I'm very upset with what has happened. When I sent out a
request I expect the player to consider the national team first."
But McFarlane replied: "It's was a mis-understanding in
communication."
The first request from the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation's (TTFF)
secretary Richard Groden in December, was for McFarlane's release for a
friendly match in January.
"No mention was made it was for the Gold Cup tournament."
Al Nejmeh was not in agreement since they had a tight three-game schedule, but
stated that they will not hesitate to release the player later in the season
for official matches.
On December 17, the TTFF contacted the club again.
And on January 7, Al Nejmeh responded by stating: "Since it is now clear
that your request for the release of Mr McFarlane is to participate in an
official international (not friendly) games for your national team in January,
Nejmeh accepts but highly appreciates a release of the player for 15 days
effective January 14, to allow McFarlane to participate in two games in the
Lebanese Championships on January 10 and 13 before his departure.
McFarlane was expected to return to Beirut on February 3.
McFarlane, Nejmeh's leading scorer so far this season said: "I was
looking forward to participating in the Gold Cup. I was really working hard to
win my place on the team. I want everyone to know I did not desert the team.
It's not true."
McFarlane scored four goals in Nejmeh's five matches in his quest to book a
place in the Soca Warriors squad.
Richard Fakoory, the owner of Superstar Rangers, the club that groomed
McFarlane, said: "I was very surprised when I heard Errol was not
accepted to join the squad."
McFarlane, the son of ex-Defence Force coach Errol McFarlane Sr, was a member
of the T&T team that drew goalless with the USA in their final CONCACAF
World Cup qualifying match at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in November.
T&T's Errol Mc Farlane scores four goals in 5 matches.
