SOUTHERN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (SFA) defeated Eastern Counties Football Union (ECFU) 2-0 to keep a 100 per cent unbeaten record after three rounds of football matches the NLCB National Elite Youth Programme.

Other results saw Eastern Football Association (EFA) blow an early two-goal lead to draw 3-3 with Central FA, while Northern Football Association (NFA) scored a 2-1 win over Tobago Football Association (TFA), after conceding the opening goal.

South’s third victory came by second half goals, after winless Eastern Counties put up a strong battle in a goalless first half. But the resistance ended within a four-minutes period early in the second half when Kern Smart (54’) and Isiah Thompson (58’) got the winning goals.

In another match, goals by Kayne Baker (6’) and Nataniel James (8’) gave Eastern FA a quick start and they were off to a 2-0 lead within the opening 10 minutes. But Central roared back, scoring the next three goals to lead 3-2 at the half. East rescued a point when James got his second goal of the match, just two minutes into the second half.
