WREXHAM'S Trinidad international Carlos Edwards escaped virtually unscathed from a car crash.

The 25-year old midfield player, currently recovering from an operation to repair a cruciate ligament in his left knee, was involved in a collision with another car on Friday night.

Wrexham physiotherapist Mel Pejic admitted he did not know the full details of the accident but confirmed that Edwards escaped further injury.

"He took a bit of a knock on his right knee but it's nothing serious and it should not affect the rehabilitation he is doing at the moment," he said.
