Harry Redknapp is in limbo over the chances of Kenwyne Jones figuring against Leeds tomorrow.

The Saints striker is due back at the club today after figuring in Trinidad and Tobago's World Cup play-off against Bahrain.

But the country's president has reportedly ordered the entire squad back to the Caribbean to join the widespread celebrations over their first ever qualification for the finals.

That would pose a huge dilemma for the youngster - and the many other Football League players in the squad.

All have games this weekend and are needed back by the clubs who pay their wages.

However it is not easy to defy a directive from the country's president and Redknapp is unsure when Jones will be back or whether he will be fit to join the squad. The striker was not back in time for this morning's training session but could still return later today.

Jones was nursing a slight hamstring injury when he flew to Trinidad for the first leg when he played just 10 minutes as a substitute. However he was fit to start the return in Bahrain, playing the first 75 minutes.

However the travelling between three continents will have taken its toll and Jones may not be 100 per cent tomorrow - even if he is back on time.

Redknapp said: "I don't know where Kenwyne is at the moment. He is supposed to be back today but it was a bit disturbing to hear the Aussie boys saying they were not sure when they were going home.

"And there has been talk of Trinidad having a national holiday and the president wanting the players back there.

"I understand it is a big win for them and they want to make the most of it but when you are a manager and waiting for players to come back then it is not right.

"I hope Kenwyne is back today and not off somewhere doing a bit of celebrating. He should be coming back to Southampton because we pay his wages.

"It was a great result but as soon as it is over he should be thinking of getting back here as soon as possible ready for us.

"Hopefully that is what he has done and he will be back today as planned. Otherwise there will be an enquiry into why.""
