Al Ansar’s unbeaten streak ended by Al Mabarrah

Trinidad and Tobago striker Peter Prosper hit three goals as Al Mabarrah put the brakes on defending champions Al Ansar’s 18-match unbeaten streak with a 4-1 defeat in the Lebanese League recently.

Prosper fired the opener in the sixth minute before adding to his tally in the 27th and 57th minutes. Tareq Al Ali added the fourth goal in the 65th minute.

Despite the loss, Al Ansar are seven clear at the top of the table with 45 points.

Al Safa drew with Al Rayyan 1-1 while Al Nejmeh were held by Al Tadamoun 0-0.

Al Ahad beat Al Ahli on the strength of a 69th minute goal by Mahmoud Al Ali.

In other matches, Al Hikma beat Shabab Al Sahel 2-1 and Trables Sports Club thrashed Al Salam Zhagarta 7-1.
