Vancouver 86ers defender Rick Titus departs for Trinidad tomorrow for a tryout with the Trinidad and Tobago National Team. The 31-year-old defender will spend several days training and playing with one of Trinidad's top clubs, Joe Public, in order to showcase his talents. Joe Public is owned by Jack Warner, a FIFA vice-president, as well as president of CONCACAF and the Caribbean Football Union. T&T have already secured a place in the final round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying, eliminating Canada in the process.

Titus was the only 86er to be honoured in the recent A-League post-season awards when he was named to the Second All-League Team. Though he was born in Mississaugua and learned his youth soccer in Toronto, Titus has never represented Canada internationally. He is eligible to play for Trinidad and Tobago through his parents. Rick Titus can be reached for comment at (905) 814-9706.
