According to West Ham United manager Glenn Roeder, Rahim was released following the six-month loan deal with the "Hammers" because he was not getting sufficient first team football, as a matter of fact, he appeared only for the Reserves. "We've sent Brent to Luton with the hope that he can play more first team football which is what he really needs. Hopefully he'll get a contract there," said Roeder.
Rahim meanwhile remained anxious about representing T&T as he is likely to be recalled for the upcoming CFU Gold Cup qualifiers here from March 26-30.
"Definitely I've grown as a player. I think the experience of playing with some of the top players here who have represented England and other countries, I've gained experience and I can take this with me and utilize it as best as possible. I've learned a lot over the six months that I've been here. Now it's just a matter of me putting it into use on the international scene for our national team," Rahim said.
