She’s not playing before huge crowds, but national women’s footballer Ahkeela Mollon is flying the flag of Trinidad and Tobago.

Mollon, 29, has played all three matches since rejoining her former Swedish club Kvarsveden IK on a season-long contract on March 1.

Kvarsveden IK play in the Elitettan division, which is the second tier and comprises 12 teams vying for a spot to the top division. Mollon formerly played for the Swedish Clib in 2003 when they were in the top flight.

In their opening match of the season, Kvarsveden were knocked out of the Swedish Cup by a higher division club. Mollon played the full match in their 5-0 defeat against AIK, the 11th-placed club in the top division. Just about 150 fans watched the match.

Meanwhile, the second division league season has just begun, and Mollon’s club has currently won its two matches played.

Kvarsveden IK are in four-way tie for the lead with four unbeaten teams. Mollon played the full 90 minutes of all two league matches, which attracted just about 50 spectators each time.
