KILMARNOCK manager Jim Jefferies has handed former Dundee defender Brent Sancho a trial at Rugby Park. Jefferies is considering a move for Sancho following Saturday's 4-2 defeat against Hearts in the Bank of Scotland Premierleague opener.

The Trinidad international will be joined on trial at the Ayrshire club by former Paris St Germain centre-back Souleymane Bamba. Sancho, 28, was released by the Dens Park club this summer as part of a cull following the club's relegation to the Bell's First Division.

Both defenders are expected to play in a practice match tomorrow night.

Arbroath have signed former Dundee midfielder Andy Reilly on a year-long contract, while manager Harry Cairney has given ex-Albion Rovers defender Jordan Smith a month to prove his worth following a mystery back problem.
