PHIL Wilson has laughed off reports that he is about to sign Clint Marcelle to solve his striking crisis.

Website rumours suggested that Lancaster City's manager was set to snap-up the 37-year-old former Trinidad and Tobago international.

Marcelle played in the Football League for Barnsley and Hull City - but only managed 14 goals in 101 games.

And Wilson says: "Who is he? I know nothing about him and I am not in line to sign him.

"These are just rumours started by fans."

Marcelle was at Tamworth for a period last season and has been the Northern League during the current campaign.
