Lawrence has grown on me

Technical Director Dario Gradi has told the club's official web-site that Dennis Lawrence has 'grown' on him after covering for the injured Julien Baudet in recent weeks. Lawrence has agreed to extend his loan agreement to the end of the season and Gradi is delighted that the club's new manager Gudjon Thordarson will have another experience professional to use as the new man plots Crewe's survival bid.

Dario told crewealex.net: "Dennis has grown on me. I didn't see much of him because he had been injured or away with Trinidad but I have a lot of respect for him. The players have a lot of respect for him as well and I'm pleased we have him with us until the end of the season.

"He has great experience and has a calming influence on the other players.
