Jason Scotland is looking for Town to put on a performance against Northampton as well as progress to the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup.

The Trinidad and Tobago international made his debut for Blues as a second-half substitute in the extra-time win at Crewe in the second round of the competition and knows what to expect from the Cobblers at Portman Road.

"They will come here full of energy and enthusiasm, especially after beating Liverpool in the last round," Jason tells the Club website.

"People might think that we should automatically go through because we are in the Championship and they are in League Two but football doesn't work like that.

"Northampton went to a Premier League club and won so they will think they can do that again here. They will come here with nothing to lose.

"We have to match their energy and their enthusiasm and put on a performance for the supporters as well as get the result we want."
