9 Japan, 10 Chile, 11 Portugal, 12 United States, 13 England, 14 Mexico, 15 South Korea,  16 Slovakia

17 Ivory Coast, 18 Slovenia, 19 Switzerland, 20 South Africa, 21 Australia, 22 New Zealand, 23 Serbia, 24 Denmark

How do they work out places 5-16 ? Both Argentina and Brazil went out at the quarter final stage. Argentina conceded 4 to a team that was eliminated at the semi final round while Brazil conceded 2 to the beaten finalists.

I'm guessing they apply their fancy coca-cola ranking system to just the world cup games to get these results.
