Football / Re: Stephen Hart Thread
« on: December 03, 2020, 03:18:50 PM »
So two of Hart's best players (Rampersad and Garcia) never played for Hart team when he was T&T coach?

And they were already pro players at the time.

Nice to see Fenwick implementing some of these pointers Flex wrote about.

Stern Irvine John, 19, Stern John's son.

Surprised he was never called up for the Under 20 team which Stern John is the assistant coach or was before FIFA came in.

What is upsetting is, why didn't FIFA just send their people to work alongside Wallace and company to assist in fixing things.

Then again, we all know why.

I guess the Home of Football findings was the game changer.

I feel Keron Cummings should get a call up by Fenwick.

He have been doing very well for LH Rangers.

I know he is 31, but if he still performing well, I said he should get a shot.

Terry seems to really have a good knowledge for the game, I also like the fact that he is not a bullshitter and is not afraid to rough players and managers up if he have to.

I wish him the best and I hope he take his time and not get carried away, but play it cool just to wet his feet.

Where is Sheldon now, anybody knows?

I thought he did very well as GS and should reapply again, he will flourish much better under Wallace.

Sam - Isa, how you still involved in T&T football sah and you is ova a 100 year ole.
Muhammad Isa - Hey Sam, before we do this interview, yuh have an Viagra, ah spend out meh whole pension money on a electric wheelchair last week, because ah end up breaking de manual one while training some 8 year ole kids, boy, ah could keep up with them, they fast boy, believe me, we have some fast players coming up for de future, by 2057 you will see a new T&T team, we will make it to every world cup, Jamaal teaching them how to shoot, Latapy teaching them how to smoke 3 cigarettes at once, Leonson Lewis teaching them, well, I eh sure what yet, but now that he get fired from St Benedicts, he go have more time to figure what he want to teach them and Stuart teaching them how to diet, so de elite program running smooth.

W Connection players are very economical to maintain, imagine, Alvin Jones sit in the toilet from a flight from T&T to Denver just to save us money on a extra plane ticket.

Anton Corneal say he will drop de court case he had because de TTFA own him money if we give him wok as TD and he will wok for lettuce and he wanted we to throw in kale and carrots because he market business pick up, money save they.

Jamaal Shabaaz is a terrorist, so we saving money not hiring so much Police for the games. No bandit eh go come test de fans once he in de stadium.

4/5 years in a row Jabloteh youth coaches won every youth tournament and award, you would think they would be considered for national coaching.

So I guess the under 15 and under 20 team have gone back into submission until 2 weeks before the next tournament.

And the women team are also inactive.

Lord Sam, Dictator Jammin We - DJW

David seems like he is very passionate about T&T football and W Connection and despite being a decent guy, Stuart Charles too, but his none fire tag worries me.

To make it worse, Isa and Shabaaz I really dont like and now it seems Isa is the fall guy, the yes man who bolding taking blame to get the heat off DJW back, saying he was the one who recommend Shabaaz for the women's team job, like who is he??

Anyone can see through this, DJW calling the shots and have men taking the blame, typical Jack Warner and Oliver Camps styling.

Never knew Shabaaz have such a strong hold over DJW.

Shabaaz upset about Maylee, Cordner and Mollon omission from the team and made sure DJW fire them.

Shabaaz wanted Hart to take a firm stance on Molino, Joevin and Mekeil for breaking camp, then he should do the same for Maylee and company.

When I watch these games I just shake my head with disappointment that T&T is not there.

Thank goodness Hart not here anymore, he just couldn't take us to the next level.

Food for thoughts.

On the 8th of October 2008, Joe Public FC (Eastern Lions) were 1-0 winners over Cancun's based Club Atlante FC in the CONCACAF Champions League (CCL). The local outfit became the first ever Club from T&T and to an extent, the Caribbean region to have ever won a game on Mexican soil. Cancun however, is only 33' feet above sea level.

That same year the Eastern Lions also got pulsating CCL wins (one on U.S territory) against the New England Revolution which saw them advancing 6:1 on aggregate. NE Revs home games are played at the Gillette Stadium which has a 289' feet elevation.

Speaking of Joe Public, their former winger Hayden Tinto were also the first T&T player to have ever scored a goal at the Estadio Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. It was June the 11th 2009 in-font of 80,000 strong and inspired by the ageless Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Andres Guardado, Nery Castillo, Guillermo Franco and Giovani Dos Santos. Mexico had to dig deep after taking the lead within 59 seconds of the start to rally back 2-1 winners.

The Soca Warriors rode the pressure and gradually got back into the match. They tied it up in injury time at the end of the first half when Hayden Tinto intercepted a bad pass and beat two defenders and goalkeeper Oscar Perez with a well-judged and well-taken shot. The lead lasted less than three minutes into the second half, Oscar Rojas unleashed a fearsome shot from 30 yards that found the upper right corner of the net. Clayton Ince was left helpless.

On the 8th of November 2014, the Trinidad and Tobago Women’s National Senior Team managed a goalless draw in Quito, Ecuador, which is 9,350 feet above sea level—and comfortably 2,000 feet higher than the Azteca.

This is very encouraging !!!!!!!!!

I feel we good for 13 points.

14 will be nice but cant see them tying away to USA or Mexico or even Costa Rica.

But yuh never know.

Good article Flex, very informative and detailed.

I hope we could play another friendly, cant see them getting any benefits from Grenada.

Very disappointed with the ref and his lines man.

T&T team improved defensively a whole lot.

The T&T team showed they could win even on the road.

Have fate guys.

I hope the TTFA line up a few games before June.

According to Flex report, Mexico missing a good few stars, this is the right time to beat them. I could tell you thank God Giovani dos Santos, Jesús Corona and Andres Guardado missing.

Correct, however, Jonathan dos Santos, Javier Hernandez, Guillermo Ochoa, Carlos Vela, Jesus Molina, Hector Moreno and Nestor Araujo is very good, they were tops vs Costa Rica.

Hector Herrera didn't have a good game.
