The man calling it as he see it but to say that his own side doh have the quality that other teams do cyah be good for his player's morale.

The former FC Porto player left for Scotland on Thursday morning to tie up some personal business before returning home next week. This has been his first opportunity to return to the UK since being appointed as head coach of the T&T team.

while you there I hope you make a trip over to England to talk to Samuel and Zamora.  We ent going a place without those two in the starting lineup

I cyah see how you could say this with any sort of certainty. Dem boys eh even kick a lime with we team as it is and could well end up being a set of posers who value club over country and just want they international caps on d cv. Birchall proved himself to be an exception to that but no telling how other foreigners will do.

It cyah hurt to try them but it have some men who warrant a second look who have stints with the team in the past.

Side question. What ever happen to that Brazilian who wanted to play for we back in d last WC and get blank because of that FIFA rule and citizenship constraints? I cyah remember the man name now.

Football / Re: Coach Latapy's grade after 2 games in de Hex
« on: June 11, 2009, 07:38:36 PM »
Thats a fair assessment Palos even though I think the grade of B is a little easy. A B- more like it but he need at least 3 more games for a proper assessment to be made. Them first two games would have always been a pull stones, even for a 'big name' coach who get this team for the same amount of time. Lets see if he wins the games he should and uses that as a springboard.

I don't think a 40 year old Latapy should suit up for us. If a 37 year old Yorke cyah make then a 40 year old, cigarette smoking Latapy will just burn another sub halfway through. Blood or groom a successor but lewwe enjoy Latas previous magic on the field and let the man get a good start on this stage of his career.

If anything, even if we qualify for this cup, we need to start playing and thinking for Brazil.

6
Maybe we should be looking to Dwight to come off the bench instead of going to it. Like if we need to relieve late pressure or hold on to a lead or need to find a goal.

 :beermug:

If we were fighting to hold a lead or for a draw then I feel Dwight might have been taken off for a more defensive minded player (not sure who). Latas lost his options when we had to chase for the entire game.

7
who we have to sub for Dwight that have a chance of being creative enough to make something happen?

Anybody with fresh legs.  Even Theobald and all.

Palos, thats not really an answer. That's grasping at straws. Fresh legs could only do so much without direction and tactics. Who could we have brought on who could carry out a plan in midfield?

8
I think any chance of Yorke being subbed out was eliminated when we had to come from behind in the first then chase the game early on in the second. It's not like Latapy could have brought on a more defensive mid to hold a lead and who we have to sub for Dwight that have a chance of being creative enough to make something happen?

I not arguing with allyuh points of view I just looking at it from a tactical standpoint instead of making it a personal decision for d coach.

« on: June 10, 2009, 10:01:54 PM »
Abu Bakr wasnt bad...Dog did redeem himself.
Yorke should have been subbed early 2nd half, his age really shows out there.

The subs were made at the right times, its the players that came on that played like tata. They looked good at the time...i dunno if u can fault Latas for their performance.

Oh, and Ince was boss

I didn't think Yorke did that bad except for a couple errant passes. He did fade out after the hour mark but he did try an ole man hustle when mex was playing keep away.

Yorke holds up play which is what we need in certain situations but not when we chasing the game. He should have come off the bench after we drew level.

Kenwyn doh have a head to play forward for a team that constantly running back in defense and chasing the game. I was real cussin tonight with him giving up early on trying to win back d ball.

But he playing for Sunderland 2 years now

Yuh win... :rotfl:

Every attack went through Blanco and he either drew the extra defender then swung to the wing or tried to flick it on the overlap. We didn't have an answer there.

We miss Avery this rounds although I feel he would have been taking an early shower with the way dem Mexicans does sell dey hits.

The Costa Ricans saying on FIFA.COm that we play better than any of the other sides they face so far, so they backing us to get rid of the Mexicans if not Wednesday, then in the last game and they will do their part as well, as will the USA.

We got game of the day on FIFA.com as well

Didn't think Taylor was that bad off with the injury, woulda like to see the selectors replace both of them instead of just one. Kelly would also get my pick if only to blood him as 12th man.

I didn't get to follow online and was in shock when I went on cricinfo and see we lost. D openers performed, if they keep that up then we have a decent chance at squaring and even winning this series but d middle order have to jump up and do like they supposed to.

I vex as well but I want this team to gel a bit and get vex from this loss....I seeing a century opening partnership next test and Sarwan and Lara beating up on a soft ball. Whether we could out them fast is another thing, d bowling capable but Chanders ent applying d right pressure when it needed.

Anyways lemme get back to work, this vexing heh head now.

Allyuh see how Austrailia get kill in that last ODI? We need that kinda killer instinct that SA had in that match.

Boy I just reading the scores after a long night out and 2 hours sleep. Is a long time I ent see dem kinda bowling figures in 2 innings from our boys. We bowling them out for under 250 just now. Mark meh words!!

If we win this dem boys better go for d kill come d next test and finish off NZ.

Anyone know if our ICC ranking will change if we win this series or the points won't be enough?

I want to see dem other batsmen really step up this rounds. Is too long I ent see a away series win.

Of course d Prince in full flight is something ah cyah deny does bring joy to meh heart....but dem other men need to play their roles and up to their potential from d get go.

Infinite, ah might board yuh later to get copies of this series so doh tape over dem tings.

Kinda makes you wonder what they did with the money when we were making it back in the days....we know the player's wern't getting it.

20
Nothing ah would like to see more than d Prince in full flow and an overseas series victory. These days I ent really have time to be online like I used to be to follow d matches live so allyuh men with yuh analysis and reports are a godsend.

Ah go try and pick up more with the Tests. I love all cricket (learning to like 20/20) but Tests are my favorite.

Allyuh read that article on Holding and the NZ tour in 1980? D link here:

http://content-usa.cricinfo.com/columns/content/current/story/237606.html

I ent watch d match, only followed ball-by-ball text commentary in cricinfo so I can't say anything about d unpiring.

Savannah I ent think that go make a difference if it have plane flying around d ground. Look St. Johns in Antigua right next to d airport and with urbanization in full swing around the world grounds nearer to all dem kind of distractions. Players still expected to be professional enough to play through it.

How much time town go burn till they upgrade d hydrant system and give dem firemen some real resources to work with?

For allyuh conspiracy theorists out there, ah find it funny that when plans afoot to rebuild POS and setup skyscrapers dat tings starting to burn in d capital.

Murali still up there, yuh doh compete for the world record because yuh mediocre.

So what if he get cart around for 99 runs? I watch Lara drop Warne in d stands before plenty times, if yuh is a spinner at some point yuh gonna get stick. At the moment Austrailia on top so it was by the best, doesn't diminish the fact that Murali is one of the greats.

Jefferz, any chance of digitizing them vids and posting them online?

Football / Re: USA vs Japan
« on: February 11, 2006, 08:21:15 AM »
Ah fell asleep during the game...had a long day of work. Japan had them under pressure in the opening minutes but d US took over possession and slowed the game to their pace. With the quick passes and fast counters they took over during the first half. Ah cap out a lil after the first goal score but woke up for a lil bit to turn out d lights when the score was 3-1.

If we boys could string together passes and hold d ball like the US could we could rise to their level. Beenie pushing possession and I see them as a team we should emulate, at least in that regard. Remember this is basically their reserve team and they mashin up by following d plan.

Still ent like them though.

Give d spinner a chance. The top 2 wicket takers in the world right now are spinners and our pick of quicks aren't up to the par they were in yesteryear.

Yeah he and d coach fall out...dats part of d reason he retire with so much years left in him. I remember him saying that he did everything he could have in his career and not being able to do anymore since he couldn't play for France.
