Football / Black vs. White.... The English Saga
« on: September 05, 2009, 03:00:45 PM »
As I watched the England vs. Slovenia Friendly today I was surprised to see so many individuals of color in the line up.
Lets be honest with ourselves, in the past to make the English senior team and not be white meant that you possessed tremendous skill. I was surprised to see nine, yes 9 men of color in the line up.
My question would be, if the Caucasian English footballers were to play the Colored English footballers who would posses the better line up and also suggest a line up for either team.

My suggest line ups are:

Caucasian
GK Paul Robinson

Jason Terry
Wayne Bridge
Matthew Upson
Gary Neville

Steven Gerrard
Frank Lampard
Wayne Bridge
Michael Carrick

Wayne Rooney
Peter Crouch

Colored

GK Davis James

Wes Brown
Ashley Cole
Joleon Lescott
Glen Johnson

Shaun Wright-Phillips
Ashley Young
Theo Walcott
Aaron Lennon

Emile Heskey
Jermaine Defoe

Jokes / Horner Man
« on: January 10, 2008, 12:48:07 PM »
One day Port of Spain was flooded out due to heavy rainfall.

'South people' got to leave work early.

A young man eagerly rushed home to be with his equally youthful wife.
As he pulled up on his driveway, he braved the thunderous rain and darted into his house.

To his dismay, his wife's 'horner-man' ran outside to get away.

The young husband walked up to his wife and buss two slap in she ass.
Crying 'bucket-ah-drop' she said, "Why yuh slap meh for?"

She continued....

"Dat is d man who buy dem shoes on yuh foot.

Dat is d man who doz help me pay d bills.

Dat is d man who pay down on d car u drivin."
Totally enraged the husband replied,

"Dat is exactly why ah friggin slap yuh... yuh go hav d man runnin in d rain and get sick?"

but any way

Went down to Point Fortine for the christmas to spend some quality time with the family nah and i ended bouncing up Mr Nkosi Blackman aka chucky in K.F.C.

I expressed a concern for my SW/Wn ppl and echoed the remark so many of u make... "When yuh returning tuh de game boi?'

He said he believes he will be returning this year most likely target, Joe Public. Jack Warner still loves him i believe so i think he should get in.

Football / Ah day in de South Land
« on: August 07, 2006, 11:28:51 AM »
I went down Point Fortin for the Weekend and it was an interesting one. I met up with Andre Toussaint of W Connection along with some other former Intercol players

Most of you were wondering why Andre didn't make the squad to face Japan. He is injured. He picked up a slight knee injury that kept him out of connections last 4 games

Connection also transferred Andre's striking partner from since secondary school days Kendall "neck" Davis to Joe Public

I know many of you were wondering whatever happened to Nkosi Blackman the lone goal scorer for us at the under 17-world cup. He is currently employed at Atlantic LNG Point Fortin ( I stand corrected but this is the info i got on a short interview)

Also for my fellow ex benedicts SW members i have great news. Mr. Jan Stedman is the new coach of  St Benedicts college Intercol side... (smiles) it's what we wanted on for years.

Football / Going Dutch
« on: July 27, 2006, 09:03:21 AM »
The Daily Express carried an article today by Lasana Liburd pg 20 Sport Express Magazine.
Definitly a must read.
Our very fine reporter, Liburd, speaks in the article of the Dutch monopoly developing in out local football. Wim "The Whip" is now being assisted by another dutch coach, Jan Van Deinsen.
The roles of out local staff played before is being minimized which I personally love (especially) Tiger Phillips role. We also retain Beenie Man as an advisor and as Phillips role is being minimized almost as a cat being cornered. But as the old saying goes corner a cat and get scratched. Will Tiger Phillips scratch back?

I was a little late for work yesterday (ok i'm alwayz late) and i had the unesteemed priviledge of travelling down the EMR (Eastern Main Road) to work. It seems like forever since i used the EMR to get to work. Yes i i was filled with pride when i saw Ramesh and leela supermarket in San juan with ah big flag outside supporting de SW. Ah started grinning like ah big fool one time. I also saw some dudes in Petit Boug selling flags and stuff so if yuh ever run out and need more check dem.

What even brought great pride was dat despite the folly happening in Morvant/Laventille they still took time tuh respect their own from the surrounding areas.
5 players form the team hail from dat region Can you name them??

General Discussion / Nike steps up the game
« on: April 10, 2006, 09:47:20 AM »
Nike has lost in its bid to be the brand name sponser for the worldcup. Again adidas has recieved it but more teams wearing the swoosh will be represented than  the three leaf clover and the small tiger. Nike hasn't taken this defeat lightly they have step  up its world Cup campainge launching multiple videos featuring Eric Cantona. www.nikesoccer.com. Die hard soccer fan will remember he was in the nike Ole team (the game where they player portugal he was present) for the last world cup. The french man has brought about sophistication to the nike name.

Nike has take it further with www.joga.com It is a supporters od football website i advise any die hard fane to check it out and sign up you'll even see me there
Meh name dey is (my original name): Emmanuel Ettienne look fuh meh eh yuh hear

Football / Confident about the Haiti Game on Tuesday
« on: April 03, 2006, 05:10:49 PM »
After watching the Under-21 team take on Dominica last Friday i am confident that we will achieve success. The Dominican team excecuted one major attempt on goal and succeeded in scoring to a blunder yea though a silly one by our goal keeper. The pressure during the second half was kept up and the ball crossed over into our half about 10 times. Their goally saved them on quite a few occasions. Many of our shots were on target, the guys looked professional apart from their first touch but the made inroads into the defence especially the surging runs from the right.

The last match the waggonist were very much present...some dude sitting next to Shotta claimed that we were going to lost but when we drew in the 90th minute he touched me on my shoulders and said i have great faith in my side... (at dat point ah shoudah crack him ah clout).
Much respect tuh OG Plot, Patriot SMag, Bmag, Miss Shotta fuh representing.

Folks sorry ah cyar be dey AC, Lyons match dat day and ah have last so please peeps represent

« on: March 24, 2006, 01:02:27 PM »
All true soccer players and supporters must bare stripes for the game. Either yuh get yuh arse cut from yuh muddah, yuh break yuh foot/ arm or any part of yuh body... yuh get bite by ah police dog cuz yuh storm ah game... yuh school rival with ah next school in intercol and bottle start passing and yuh get ah buss head ...yuh know de juicy stuff...

I don't think i've seen them all so tell me about your experiences

I'll start....

Back in de dayz when PASSIT was de biggest club in point fortin ah was ah young defender.. ah was ah lil rough and hard headed nah. Me ain't give ah flying doubles who you is once yuh making ah penetrating run down de right yuh tail know fuh sure yuh go get skate tackle. Steve David was meh coach den nah and he tell meh fadder bout meh folly how ah constantly trying tuh bruk man foot well meh faddah and meh muddah warn meh. So next Saturday at training ah cyar look soft ah have tuh keep meh tough outlook.. hey ah was de smallest and youngest of de four big defenders.... so one dude name Dean ( ah tink he play on P/Town intercal winning side) on ah counter attack come blazing down de right. Ah still had de CM and LM behind meh but ah ain't even tink, one level wet and he jump so ah bearly get him but he did and great acting job and de ref ain't even warn meh automatic red card... imagine i about 10 - 11 years getting ejected from ah under 14 match ... straight dressing room... ah ain't know who tell meh fadder but he warn meh but meh muddah find out too ah ah get meh tail blaze ... Jack dat shit hurt
De nex week de coach put meh back down with de Under 10's dread ah shame... after dat ah start skating man wid sense yes.
