Football / Shawn Fuentes

Our Youtube channel, the quality of interviews, highlights and post/pre match coverage are still at the same quality as it was.

Is everyone happy with Mr.Fuentes work ethics? The time it takes to publish videos, the questions and manner in which he does interviews?

I have suggestions, tryout new people, get Mr.Fuentes some help, especially with editing.

What do you guys think about having a voice chat room for the games?

We can use Raidcall, Skype, 100 TB.

Give me some feedback. I already sent a PM to the Administration about this idea and waiting for some feedback. It will also be helpful with your input.

Jamaica captured the sixth Caribbean Cup title in the country's history on Tuesday evening, defeating Trinidad & Tobago 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 0-0 draw, much to the delight of the home fans in Montego Bay.

Philadelphia Union goalkeeper Andre Blake made a key save in the shootout, denying Soca Warriors captain Kenwyne Jones in the first round to stake his side to an early lead. Though D.C. United forward Michael Seaton missed his penalty for Jamaica, a miss from Khaleem Hyland on the final kick gave Jamaica the title.

Orlando City midfielder Kevin Molino and Houston Dynamo defender Jermaine Taylor converted their shootout attempts for T&T and Jamaica, respectively.

The victory guarantees the Reggae Boyz a berth in the 2016 Copa America Centenario, in addition to the 2015 Gold Cup place they earned by making the Caribbean Cup final four. Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago will be joined in next summer's Gold Cup by Cuba and Haiti, while fifth-placed French Guiana will face Honduras for the remaining spot up for grabs.

A number of MLS players featured for both finalists throughout the tournament, with Blake, Seaton and Taylor joined on the Jamaica squad by Alvas Powell (Portland Timbers), Je-Vaughn Watson (FC Dallas), Darren Mattocks (Vancouver Whitecaps) and Deshorn Brown (Colorado Rapids). On the T&T side, MLS was represented by Molino, Cordell Cato (San Jose Earthquakes) and Kevan George (Columbus Crew SC), as well as recently-released ex-Whitecaps center back Carlyle Mitchell.

Mattocks and Molino, along with Haiti's Kervens Belfort, finished as the tournament's top scorers with three goals apiece over four games.

Here are some of my picks and interesting historical facts!

Why I didn't include any African teams?
Because of the statistics below. Only country outside of Europe to even come close to third was USA in 1930. Only African country that can pull it off though would be Ghana but looking at that group it will be a task in itself to escape death especially with bitter USA relishing a chance at avenging two exits at their hands and Germany involved that have never lost to any African team in it's history of the world cup along side an unpredictable Portugal side no short of talent.
The stat
No team outside of CONMEBOL have won a world cup in South America since the first one.
Uruguay won the last world cup hosted on Brazilian soil in 1950, Spain forth, the host came in as as runners ups.
Only Uruguay 1930, England 1966, Germany 1974, Argentina 1978 and Ofc France 1998  manage to win the World Cup as host country.
Only Germany FR(1986) , Holland(1978), Italy(1970)(1994), Czechoslovakia (1962) have managed to claim runners up position on South American soil.

Football / Government Funding Trinidad Football
« on: December 08, 2010, 12:22:23 PM »
Why do we need TTFF???? Someone enlighten me please.

From what it looks from here:
Our tax paying dollars are going into:
# Unqualified head coach and staff
# Ruthless organisation that is unable to support itself
# Shaming, guessing and continuing to pay for a clueless coach with no positives in the near future.

Now we are lead to beleive:
# Our best players are not welcomed b.c of club duties.
# Our local players are not good enough
# Our players and staff not getting paid

And now:
# Limited support for National team
# No games coming up
# Our national team has no core players
# We are worse than where Matas left us

What the Government should do is make a new organisation for Trinidad Football and leave TTFF in the wilderness (where they are now).. Maybe TTFF should make a club side and stay out of national football, what a bloody disgrace.

So here it is. We are not featuring in the Gold Cup which means alot of exposure for our players lost as well as valuable experience from the regions best teams, lost.

Latapy we have given you the chance you wanted, did everything you asked, accepted what you put in front of us, unfortunately you are not the coach this country needs.fREE us from this bondage era of epic failure.

I decided to make a new poll for this because it seems as thou the faithfuls from before have a different perspective on what this national team needs and don't.

A cracker folks! Mexico have never beaten France at a FIFA World Cup. My head tells me an easy Le Blues win, but my heart tells me El Tri will come out with a good result.
