Why has Fuller a proven goalscorer been replaced by Jones? The bloke is a hopeless finisher, and cannot see the "big picture" - always choosing the wrong option. Surely Fuller was a better bet and would have scored today??
Oh yeah, what happens when Rasiak or Wright-Phillips are injured or suspended? McGoldrick or Best? Give me strength......

Yes Keith of course he did, problem was he should have either scored 3 today or set up goals for other players. Sadly this is Kenwyne. Is he the man you think will fitre in the goals to get us promoted? We have to get up this season to fully benefit financially.
Sadly we have no experience up front apart from Gregorz who needs help. Why not Shipperley on loan? He was at Palace and Sheff U when they got up......

If you were at the game today you'd know the answer to that. And I'm sure as hell the answer wouldn't begin with "y".

Jones has learnt a lesson today.
I am sure he will not mistake again.
It was very selfish what he did today.
But football is an unpredictable game!

Kenwyne Jones put the ball in the back of the net, the great feted current saviours of Southampton Football Club Rasiak and Skacel failed to score from what sounded like nailed on chances for players of their supposed calibre. One man in the Saints team is not reponsible for todays loss, get off Kenwynes back.
When we resort to the longer ball game Kenwyne wins the ball 9 out of 10 times when he is playing with Rasiak, Rasiak is too slow to take advantage.
Some so called fans of this club are shocking at getting into players for errors yet those same people bow at the feet of of those players who flatter to deceive.

One error in not squaring the ball at the end of the day cost us 2 points still no reason to hang the bloke.

I could say the person who was supposed to be picking up the Ipswich player who scored their second goal also cost us the game?

I think his performance today was ok, he just can't finish very well and wastes to many chances, aswell as being selfish and going for glory instead of letting Rasiak have a tap him. Problem we need strikers who can scored 20+ goals a season, I can't see Kenwyne getting anywhere near that.

Fair point Keith but GB basically said that KJ screwed up, and that Ipswich would never have come back from 2 down!
Anyway, be honest are you happy with our strike force's experience and depth?
I hope you answer this question....

I don't know all the ins and outs of why some players go or stay, but I feel we have lost a trick in letting go of Dexter, or not getting someone similar in. If Rasiak and BWP are fit and playing well, they would be my first choices. But if BWP is off / or out, we don't have much of an alternatives. I just feel the combination of Jones and Rasiak is too static.

JONES is not sh*t. He was selfish.
Likewise Peter Crouch isn't/wasn't sh*t, merely inexperienced and selfish when he shot weakly at the keeper instead of taking the ball to the corner flag in injury time, thus allowing the keeper to launch a successful counter-attack. This cost us 2 points in our relegation season.

Cast your mind back to the first half odf the season last year. We were dominating teams but couldn't finish. Had we been able to , we would have challenged Sheff U and Reading. Who was up front ?Why Ricardo. He may have finished with a burst but when it was really important, he didn't finish and do you think he played well?

When fuller came he was playing injured and unfit and it f@ck up his confidence.Thats obvious as he scores loads everywhere else except for skates ;Redknapp always play Fuller unfit. One point he was saying he appreciated Fullers effort even when he was injured he would not complain when asked to play. When he was finnally fit he got it done;and contrary to what you think that was more important seeing the guillotine hanging over our heads as we were 3 points adrift d2.

KJ starts knocking in the goals like PC did after a few months we will love him. The same could happen here.
Leave the players alone get behind them, and the manager and things will improve!

I think the original poster sums him up perfectly - "hopeless".
Also he is spot on, McGoldrick & Best, along with Jones, will not get us even remotely close to a play-off place.
