Football / Let's Get Rid of The TTFF !!!!

Hey Fellas I have a question a question?. Is there ANY AVENUE possible that we can use to get rid of today's TOTALLY incompetent national football administrators. "Camps & Crew have been basically "Liming" on the block of football admistration for 20 plus years and they have done absolutely nuttin "POSITIVE" for the game since then. About Camps, Where is he?? Is he even in the country?? this man like he is JACKULA puppet?? Long time me aint see this man, with the current imppasse going yuh at least think yuh would ah see ah brudder making some coments but the only man doing that is "JACKULA".
         I praise JACKULA for basically carrying football on his back financially during WCQ however he should not be allowed to be totally in conrol in my opinion he is just a Special Adviser for god's sakes. Besides we are not really supposed to be that dependent on Jackula any more we got money now well at least we are supposed to. NO TEAM QUALIFIES FOR A WORLD CUP THEN SUDDENLY AFTER THEY HAVE NONE UNLESS REAL MEN TIEF IT OUT!!. This brings up the Impasse situation!!!

The problem – as it appears to be so often in the case of the T&TFF – is money and the way it is handled by T&TFF officials including T&TFF special adviser Jack Warner who is also vice president of FIFA.

  The players are concerned about the accuracy of T&TFF’s accounting and the way it suggests to split the more than 18 million TT dollars the football federation received for its part in the 2006 World Cup. According to the players, Jack Warner promised them half of the revenue accrued by the T&TFF during the World Cup. The promise was made in November last year.

 
According to an article by reporter Lasana Liburd in the Trinidad Express, there are a host of problems with the accounting including

 
The accounts show no income from the sale of television rights from the Bahrain leg of the World Cup and a series of friendly matches shown on European television
Income from sponsors appears to be omitted or doctored including a deal with Adidas. In December 2005 T&TFF announced that Adidas had paid 73 million TT dollars to sponsor the team. When it came to give players their cut, the football federation said the deal was only worth 1.8 million TT dollars.
T&TFF claims that the sponsors insisted that a third of their money should be set aside for the preparations for the World Cup in 2010
T&TFF has deducted the player’s match fees, allowances, accommodation, transport and refreshment from their World Cup bonus packages so in effect they were paying their own salaries
T&TFF also deducted “FIFA/CONCACAF dues”, gate equipment and scouting fees
There is no sign of the 45 million TT dollars the football federation was promised by the government of Trinidad and Tobago to negate all expenses
 

All in all, each player could look forward to a bonus of 5,600 TT dollars from the World Cup. That is the equivalent of 893 US dollars.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

Is there anyway if any that we as citizens of trinidad & tobago whom the footballers and Even THE DAMN TTFF are supposed to represent take any International Court or Protest action to rid of us of these cronies "CAMPS AND CREW" even JACKULA from the local football fraternity forever. This situation in which one man in charge for so much years doing nuttin would not take place in another serious football nation and as supporters of a WC team i would like to think we would finally take football seriously.

Anyone out there with an answer???

Jose Mourinho believes Florent Malouda can help Chelsea regain peak form - alongside fellow winger Arjen Robben.

The Blues begin their pre-season campaign with a friendly against Mexican giants Club America in northern California on Saturday night, the first of three friendlies in the United States.
Mourinho plans for every member of his squad to play 45 minutes against Club America, which means a a run-out for contract rebel and Real Madrid target Robben and a debut for Malouda.

The France international signed from Lyon in a deal confirmed by Mourinho at a press conference in Los Angeles to be worth £13.5million.

The possibility of the two wingers playing in tandem is something that excites the Chelsea boss.

"We have competition almost in every position and I think that is very, very important," Mourinho said.

"I know that everybody is watching Florent and Robben in the same squad but you have to remember that, in my opinion, the best football we played in the last three years was when Robben & Duff were playing together in the same team.

"So why can't Florent and Arjen play together?

"Yes, there is competition between them but yes, they can play together in the same team."

Mourinho believes Malouda's time winning championships with Lyon would help him adapt very quickly to life at Chelsea.

"Florent is one of these players that you don't need to present. Everyone knows his qualities and what he did in the past with his club, Olympique, and in the French national team," the Chelsea boss said.

"And I want to make it very, very clear that he's not here to replace anybody. I understand that many people think that's why he's coming but that's not the objective.

"The objective is to have a very good player with a very good mentality and who can very easily adapt in my opinion to the needs of English football.

"And he's a player with ambition because the reason why he wants to leave a very good club like Olympique and come to Chelsea is because he wants to change his life.

"I don't think it's a question of one more pound or one less pound in his bank account, I think it's just a new life and a new career and to try and reach his ambitions.

"Every player has his own personality and I don't want to compare him with anybody else but players like Michael Essien or Didier Drogba - their personality is not very different.

"They are competitive, they are stronger physically but that is not a problem. He is a mature player, he's 27 and has experience in the international team and he's very adaptive to play with responsibilities.

"At Lyon, he's played to be champion, he's played to be champion with France and so to play to be a champion with Chelsea is I don't think a big change in his career.

"I think he's ready to cope with the pressure."

Malouda is a former team-mate of Drogba at Guingamp and of Essien at Lyon as well as a France squad member alongside Claude Makelele.

Those contacts helped Mourinho to assess how suitable a person Malouda would be to fit into his squad.

"He played before with Didier and Essien and also with Maka in the national team so we know a lot about him," Mourinho said.

"We got some inside information about him, not as a player - as a player we already know him - but as a person, his mentality, the way he can adapt to the group. And I think already he feels very, very much at home.

"He knows a lot of the players, he can speak some good English and there are a lot of French-speaking players so it is very easy for him to adapt and our squad is much stronger with a player like him."

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson expects Arsenal to be a better team next season without talisman Thierry Henry.
Henry's departure to Barcelona has led to predictions of Arsene Wenger's side struggling for inspiration, but Ferguson feels it could have the opposite effect.
Arsenal have not finished outside the top four of the Premier League since Wenger was appointed in 1996 and Ferguson believes they will be in the top four along with United.
"They'll be in the top four," said Ferguson on Sky Sports News. "I'm more convinced they will be in the top four without Thierry Henry.
"I just thought it was time for him to go. Arsene Wenger knew that, and I think they'll do better."
Wenger is continuing preparations for the post-Henry era by fielding a strong line-up against Barnet in a friendly at the weekend.
"It could be a very strong team at Barnet," Wenger told Arsenal's website.
"Basically the players that are back in training are available, so you could see Kolo Toure, Manuel Almunia, Gael Clichy, Mathieu Flamini, Denilson, Theo Walcott, Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor.
"They are all likely to be included so it should be a very familiar side."
Wenger has just completed the signing of France Under-21 defender Bacary Sagna from Auxerre, his fourth signing of the summer.
"We've been very impressed by him," said club scout Gilles Grimandi.
"We've watched him both playing for Auxerre and the under-21 team and scouted him over more than 40

Football / Beckham Finally Unveiled!!!!

    David Beckham believes his move to Los Angeles Galaxy will provide him with one of the biggest challenges of his career, but says it is a "dream come true".
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder was finally unveiled as a Galaxy player after months of waiting, having agreed to join the Major League Soccer side in January.
The 32-year-old midfielder signed a five-year contract with the Galaxy in January that will pay him $32.5 million in salary.
He joined the Major League Soccer team from Real Madrid, where he showed he still can "bend it" on free kicks. Coming on strong late in the season, Beckham helped Real Madrid win the Spanish League title last month.
Beckham's play also was impressive enough for him to regain a spot on England's national team, which he formerly captained.
The England international is expected to make his first appearance for his new side in a friendly against Chelsea on 21st July and he admits he cannot wait.
Beckham, who will continue to wear the famous number 23 shirt in LA, was presented to the world's media and around 5,000 fans at the Galaxy's Home Depot Center stadium on Friday.
"In my career I have played for two of the biggest club sides in the world, Manchester United and Real Madrid. I have played for 11 years for my country and I am still playing for my country," Beckham said at a press conference shown live on Sky Sports News.
"This is one of the biggest challenges that I have ever taken on in my career. I have always looked for challenges in my career and something exciting in my life.
"To move to a different country, the other side of the world, is something that I'm looking forward to.
"I think potentially in the States soccer can be as big as it is everywhere else around the world and I'm very proud to be part of that. I am going to be part of that for the next five years and maybe a few more years after.
"I'm looking forward to starting training next week, I'm looking forward to the first game, I'm looking forward to the support that you've all shown me throughout my career, not just since I've been here in Los Angeles.
"Thank you to everybody that's made this happen, made my dream come true."
The Galaxy are currently struggling in MLS but coach Frank Yallop expects the arrival of Beckham to bring a turnaround in his side's fortunes.
Yallop said: "Well finally he's here, since we signed David in January it has been a long wait.
"I feel now that David is the last piece to the puzzle for us to really start to get our season moving in the right direction.
"We are getting a great person, a winner on and off the field, a great leader and I'm very, very excited.
"The team cannot wait to get him on the field with his boots on, with his kit on, with the Galaxy jersey on and start to win some games."

Football / Is Jan-Micheal Williams for REal!!!!!

            I must say i have certainly NOT been impressed with this goalkeeper. Is he the future of the Trinidad & Tobago goalkeeping position i am not sold on that!!!!!. The last two games for TNT has certainly not been his best in concentration letting in some really soft goals “going up to catch the ball and it slips through his hands into the net”, “being beaten consistently on his nearpost”, “coming out to challenge when he should not” and last night “saving outside his penalty area and being sent off for W-Connection early in the game”. I dont know if he lacks confidence at the moment but he is making some schoolboy mistakes at this point in time. I think he is better than that to be named Pro League MVP. I think Wim and others probably needs to nuture him some more under the experienced Ince or Jack!!. What do you all think about this?
