Football / UK 2nd intercol/independence football
« on: September 03, 2007, 08:27:00 AM »
This took place on the 2nd Sept.(yesterday), with South zone being victorious on penalty kicks (5-4) in the  final vs. the defending champs north zone. All in all a good day with a good turn out, with this year being extremely competitive. East and Tobago not as dominant as our miami comrads(played with tobago in first 2 tournaments), though east boast a host of really good players. Until next year congrats to South and all the players who won individual accolades.

Football / What motivates todays player

money or the love of the game. I sometimes wonder when looking at some top leagues where the money is rampant, are these players really bothered what happens or are they concerned about the cheque at the end of the month. And sometimes by the body language of the players eg cup games when you have to go to lower league teams that aren't as glamarous, you can see they don't really want to be there. What do you think?

Football / Do we expect too much?
« on: September 08, 2005, 07:24:33 AM »
I wonder if because of what happened in the 1990 campaign, if we expect too much of our team. Given the fact that the structure of football in T&T is not one that we produce "basic technically good" players, are we expecting too much when we get to international level. I will always want us to do well and win every game, but I wonder if that's just thinking with my heart and not my head, as I suspect all of us do.

PS STILL BLASTED UPSET WID HOMEVIEW. SENT DEM A EMAIL NO RESPONSE YET. I WAIT UP TILL 3AM THIS MORNING TO LISTEN TO DE GAME AND NOTTEN.

Football / anywhere in london to see de game
« on: August 27, 2005, 07:37:40 PM »
I was wondering if any of the england based posters knows if there is anywhere that the game can be seen, or even if there is somewhere it can be accessed on the web. Tanx.
