Football / Man U accepts Real offer for Cristiano
« on: June 11, 2009, 08:40:51 PM »
Manchester United FC have accepted a world-record bid of £80m (€94m) from Real Madrid CF for winger Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Premier League winners expecting to conclude a deal this month.

A statement on Madrid's official website added: "Real Madrid can confirm that an offer to Manchester United for the acquisition of the rights of the player Cristiano Ronaldo has been made. The club hope to reach an agreement with the player in the coming days." Ronaldo joined United from Sporting Clube de Portugal in the summer of 2003 and has enjoyed sustained success during his time at Old Trafford. He scored in United's UEFA Champions League final triumph over Chelsea FC in 2008 and helped the club return to the showpiece in Rome last month where they lost to FC Barcelona. The Ballon d'Or winner last year, Ronaldo scored 118 times in 291 appearances for United and his 84 Premier League goals led the club to a hat-trick of titles between 2007 and 2009.

MAturana had his run, but i think now is the right time to fire him and put a real coach in charge of T&T if they want to have a real fighting chance to get into 2010 SA. I dont think Maturana could take us there..bring in Sven

Sunderland reallllll painful to watch, they cant even get one shot on goal, i taking off de fking tv
my brain hurting from watching dis shit football, Keane waz supposed to play a 4-3-3 , cisse, jones, richardson up front
tainio,malbranque,whitehead in middle
chimbonda,nosworthy,ferdinand,mccartney in back

a 4-5-1 waz a wrong decision against a great midfield like chelsea

Sunderlands attacking line was their only chance
No. 4-5-1 is what they should have played from de start. Keane want to play chupid and go 4-4-2 against flicking Chelsea, and dey breeze through de midfield like nothing. He only switch to 4-5-1 in de second half. 4-3-3 woulda give dem bout 8.
to me they play a 4-5-1 from the start
Waghorn ,tainio,malbranque,whitehead,richardson waz in midfield

11 am kickoff

Roy Keane has promised changes against Chelsea - and it could mean a first start of the season for Kewnyne Jones.

Jones impressed after coming off the bench in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat by Stoke.

Craig Gordon (ankle) is still struggling so Marton Fulop is expected to start his third game in a row.

Teemu Tainio, Nyron Nosworthy, Pascal Chimbonda and Grant Leadbitter are pushing for a return to the starting line-up.

Phil Bardsley has a dead-leg but he should recover in time to travel to London later today.

Sunderland (from): Gordon, Fulop, Colgan, Bardsley, Chimbonda, Ferdinand, Nosworthy, Collins, McCartney, Malbranque, Whitehead, Tainio, Leadbitter, Miller, Yorke, Richardson, Reid, Diouf, Jones, Cisse, Chopra, Murphy, Healy, Waghorn.

when really the team should look more like this.
                                                               ince.
                                  C. Edwards     Thomas/telesford        lawrence               A John

                                  Glenn                     Birchall                      Daniel
                                                              Yorke

                                            stern John                    D. Roberts

I keeping meh fingers crossed , but i can't ignore the fact that we have two mad men @ the helm.                    positive.

Darryl Roberts?
 :shameonyou:
Glenn cant play right wing in that formation,it would leave the midfield too empty.
he could play alongside Stern if anything.

Latas for Daniel,

a correct side would be like this

                                              Ince
    Edwards         Thomas                        Tallest          Avery

                             Birchall                    Hyland
                                          Yorke/Latas

           Glen                      Scotland/John                   Daniel

JP football game is too direct, lacked creativity ,possession and we got lucky...whereas Atlante's team held possession well, good creativity,speed..buh just could not finish in the 18 yard box..typical of mexican football.
