Good victory.

T&T looked much more dangerous in the final third after Kenwyne Jones was subbed.

Seriously Mexico owes us an apology for all those bottles and ice they rain down on our players. Like WTF??? They come to TNT and we treat them in the best way and take our losses with no hard feelings then they do this.

The Mexicans are only showing their true colours. Next time we meet them we must beat them mainly as punishment for their supporters being so nasty!  :yellowcard:

It's not just Mexicans.  I went to the Copa America two weeks ago in Chile, and the organizers actually had two stewards with umbrellas at the corner flag deflecting ice, coins etc whenever a non-Chilean player was taking a corner.  Just football I guess.  Not Mexican only, though.

Coach Hart's tactics were spot on. Absorb pressure in the first half and press dem in the second half.
Face it, we don't have the conditioning to press for 90mins. (3 games in 6 days).
The Mexicans had no chance to make any 2nd half adjustments in the locker room.  :beermug: :beermug: :beermug:

What are your thoughts on the moments when we seemed to fluctuate in absorbing pressure (almost needlessly?) Even with the own goal he had absolutely no business reaching for that ball with his body positioned like that), I still feel we conceded another goal unnecessarily because we were not seizing the advantage.

poster above was makin d point dat we doh have d conditionin to press for 90min but we always seemed to find it when we went behind so I don't agree with him

I was surprised that Khaleem Hyland was taken off.  We needed his experience there at the end.

Three out of four Caribbean teams make the second round: Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Haiti.

Cuba the odd man out, largely because of non-football issues that overshadowed the team in the first game.

Cuba made it. So four out of four..

That's right!  They were celebrating!

Real good Gold Cup for the Caribbean thus far.

Central America had a very poor showing.

What a game.

Emotional roller coaster.

That last goal to tie it at 4-4 was probably the most important goal scored by Trinidad and Tobago since Tallest in Bahrain to qualify for Germany 2006.

Boy, I fraid Football Manager.  Have been playing since 1998 Champman days.  Whenever I start a new game I get TOTALLY immersed, no sleep at all!!!!!  LOL

Glad to see serious consideration to our football in the database.  Good luck.

Hah thanks man, who do you usually play as? I've been playing as W Connection lately with meh Megapack, can't qualify from the CONCACAF group for love-nor-money

I usually play as Arsenal, but enjoy playing as random small teams more when I feel like being a Lower League Manager (LLAMA).

Is the Caribbean Megapack in the Large Database as a default, or does it have to be downloaded?  Would be interesting to try to get St. Anns Rangers out of the cellar!

Great game.  I can't remember the last time I saw Trinidad playing so compact defensively and actually executing a gameplan.

Once this team gets some quality friendlies under its belt, we in business.

Is this round six games home and away, or just 3 games?

6: home and away.

Thus that makes Guyana the head of our group as of rite now (Remember Only one team from each group qualifies for the 3rd round)

Thanks

Carrying only two keepers is risky.  Three is the convention.  If you only carry two and one get injured in training then you go into the game without a reserve keeper.   You may not be able to call replacements once your squad is named.

The first of what should be a flurry of signings tomorrow and before deadline day is André Santos. The 28 year old Brazilian will be signed from Fenerbache for around £6million and will give our left back role some much needed experience. He is 1.80 metres / 5ft 11 inches and has made 52 appearances for the Turkish club, scoring 10 goals. An excellent rate for a left back! However, lets hope he can defend first and foremost, then attack.

They looking half decent.  Have some good pace as well.

Is this the Antigua national team?

Great idea if it is to have them playing together week in week out like that.

i say that because of the players who are dead weight would have undeservedly earned thie rplace to be with th erest of the first squad (barring injuries) fellas who barely contributed when called upon, failed to contribute or just plain not good enough at any level

men like...
denilson
almunia
diaby
rosicky
squillachi
even eboue diaby clichy

they would certainly not deserved a medal of any kind after the displays they put in this season

Diaby?  You would  put Diaby in that group?  You mad.

Football / Latapy hitting his stride
« on: November 07, 2010, 05:24:50 AM »
First he was focusing on team defense... what does Latapy know about that?  The team was losing consistently.

Now, he is saying, we winning or losing with offense, which is the best defense.

I don't paticularly agree, but he is doing what he knows best.

It's almost as if Latapy is saying, "I going with what I know, and giving it MY style and my best shot.  After that, let the chips fall where they may."

Let's see how this goes...  Good luck Latapy.
