On a serious note who is the moderator? ah find she looking good....

Tropical Bear or Beer? why didn't she just call herself Carib?

I used to boast about how Trinbagonians are well educated and can hold their own in any forum.....boy what a liar I've become

And on a note so serious note this all pertains to "this is we time and we have to get one of we in there" a quote uttered by a board member of a state run company.

Persad-Bissessar said she was advised that Rambarran has “an extensive knowledge and experience of contemporary global and economic and financial issues and understanding of the institutional environment of Central Banks and supra national financial institutions.”

This is a quote from our PM and everytime  she use those words she was advised    after that we have problems.

Take it from me dat fella and especially he business pardah ....eh bright atall atall but they possess the prevailing and and most important criteria to hold a high post.

My observations for the past year or so leads me to draw this conclusion.

Am I the only one here who is deeply concerned with the backwardness that is going on in T&T at a time when we are supposed to be maturing as a unified nation where every creed and race can find an equal place after 50 years of Independence?

The future for T&T after 50 years of independence looks grim as we are going backwards rather forward in most areas from politics to education to healthcare to sports, music and culture.

Is it true that the best we could do right now is pray?

PS: I am not a PNM or UNC or any other party loyalist but just a concerned citizen who is watching my country go to the dogs and feeling totally helpless and unable to do anything about it.
I ent tryin to give no seta intelligent reply, but I don't really think the PP doing that much worse than the PNM or whoever.  I think is tribalism is the rut we have to get out of for the next 10-20 years, to really achieve anything. Is like if you on the PNM side it only negative you could say about the other side - how Pm get hold up for shak to dunk.  Really? 20 yrs down the line, was that really worth any thought? so if everybody on that petty vibes (not just the nincompoop leaders), then a 3-4 iteration complex problem will be impossible to solve.
So then you end up with people like Ian 'crime stoppers' and Jack, who jus say f0k the bullsh!t and do whatever he think (is right?), or people like (present) manning who jus rock back and and observe the crap that going on and every once in a while point out some folly. But really, I see no hope without unity. as long as two sides exist then is to jus observe and hope that too much of your family ent get killed.

Really???? This current government is not about the governance of the people of TnT as long as it is pursuing its Indian agenda it is never going to be about governing.

Allyuh doh worry....jack do make heself Chief of the Armed forces and declare the gov't unconstitutional and make himself  PM for Life

Guys,i know i am a pain in the butt but for the time i'm on here while others have quit Coops still here fighting his battles,it's the same way i played the game.

Seriously though while there are those who may disrespect your views there are others like myself who do respect your opinion as it one cultivated from your experience which harkens back to the heyday of TnT's football.  Just ignore the haters and remember debate is always healthy.

Here is what I think this government, if you can call them that, has in store for TnT. In the next few months they are going to start talking about building prisons...guess who will build and run these prisons .....their friends but first they will tinker with the constitution to create a permanent underclass to feed that prison system.

We still have 2 more years  till the USA goes to Brazil for 2014 and by then i anticipate a much stronger team than what you saw last night. I have to say though I really like Bradley's game and passing. He has improved alot.

Yuh eh see Klinsman like Holly Betaudier he scruntin for talent????? Where is he going to find stronger players? Why do you think he is going to Germany to look for players. Bradley has improved going forward good reader of the game ..his defensive skills are still shyte though still clueless when defending

so given your reasoning why not have Chinese arrival day or Syrian arrival day or Portuguese arival day but why stop there? We have people from other west indian nations who emigrated to TnT so we can have Bajan arrival day or Guyanese arrival day or Grenadian arrival day.

Why can't they celebrate Emancipation Day ? Emancipation is an all encompassing term.
If you remember your history the recalcitrant minority first started celebrating this way back in the 1940's.

This holiday should never be not even arrival day ,but the racist politicians would always come up with a divider.

I agree but those who were critical of it were in turn called racists. As it stands it is a symbol which is indivisible and can only be celebrated by those who do not see themselves as citizens of Mother TnT.

But dem is de same people who want to go to Mexico for advice on fighting crime....

Ah really don't know why allyuh would want Yorke involved in TnT football..yes he played at the highest level and will be considered as one of our greatest but the man has shown no intellectual propensity towards the development of the game.

Andy Carroll and Jermaine Defoe before Sturridge is crap. Micah Richards should have been included as he can play central defense.
