The men’s Cleburne Price Jr. 4x400 had set up another thrilling showdown involving Texas A&M, Florida and LSU, but Deon Lendore started to slow on the backstretch of his anchor leg and then stopped with 120m left in the race. The three previous legs for the Aggies included Gregory Coleman (46.7), Carlyle Roudette (44.7) and Shavez Hart (45.6).

Ramgoat by the way an Indian is a person who was born in India , As far as I check ramdin and barath was born in Trinidad which make them Trinidadian. This Indian and African talk always upset me because in the end we look at that over our patriotic duty as a trinidadian. Does having all these different events and organisations for people of Indian origin or people of African origin brings us together or does it form a bigger divide. It is an unconcious Segregation.

Ok I normally dont respond to racist statement but just for the sake of clarity lets begin. The percieved that the selection is based on some kind of race gender something has to be seriously screwed in your brains or you have been brainwashed to have a racist point of view . Congratulations to ramdhin who is of late starting to show his true potential and now deserves to be picked on the west indies team. But in the past has failed countless times when was given the opportunity as some people say maybe he should always bat with VIV note in his pocket. Barath , are you kidding me right now barath dont even deserve to be on the T&T team , Check out barath's recent stats for the last two years and how u think he should be chosen would bewildered anyone. Sarwan I must say my favorite cricketer had a falling out with the Coach , he was on fire in his English county but has failed miserably of late to West indies , In his last ten one days he has failed miserably. Now as with chanderpaul this is a touchy subject probably the second best to Lara but his inability to go after team goals and focus on indivdual milestones does not go well in having a succesful team. In Test matches it is ok as he can bats however he sees fit and pad his averages . Chanderpaul refuse to shepherd less experience batsman taking run off first ball and leaving the tail exposed. Do u really want that happening in a One day team, Their is a reason why Chanderpaul is not picked up by any T20 franchise is because he plays for himself. I dont see you clamouring for Evin Lewis ,or Kevon Cooper whose stats have been more impressive than sarwan. Coming back to ramdin how many trinis wanted to replace him with pooran before ramdin started to show up this year. Why because they were racist or is it because we want performance.

Naaa please explain the picking of jereem richards for the World indoors. He is now at South plains junior college where there is a great 400m program. Would it not be more beneficial for his development to let him train instead of heading him off to world indoors.

Barber strikes gold in Cayman

National record holder Aleesha Barber captured the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2nd annual Cayman Invitational in Georgetown, Grand Cayman, on Wednesday. The 2010 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games champion took the top spot in the women’s 100m hurdles in 13.04, producing a strong finish to cross the line first.

Though Barber’s winning time was well off her national mark of 12.85, the former Penn State University student still improved her season’s best of 13.10. Barber is the 2010 NCAA Division one bronze medallist.

Olympic 4x400m relay bronze medallist Jarrin Solomon was second in the men’s 400m in a season’s best of 45.65 while Jamaal James finished sixth in the men’s 1500m in 3 min 53.43 seconds.

Also in winner’s row was Rondel Sorillo who raced to the the top spot at the Guadeloupe International Meet in Baie Mahault in Guadeloupe. The 2011 World Championships 200m finalist secured the 100m title in 10.21, a season’s best.

Jehue Gordon was runner-up in the men’s 400m hurdles improving his 2013 time to 49.05 from 49.26 which the 2010 World Junior Champion ran four days earlier in Jamaica.
