I don't think Lasana or Jennings ever had the paper trail though. I never heard about actual transfers to the various companies and we never had the actual figures of government money that was taken. We just know that money was missing. Are all these documents part of the court case for the Soca Warriors?

I remember when this would have been most welcome news circa 2005. Now I don't expect us to be one of the top four teams in Concacaf and further, I fraid the embarassment if we manage to get in.

in spite of this, the team came back from being annihilated by a very good Mexico team, to come from a goal down and get a point against Panama. Shows heart and determination in my book and still puts them in the running for a shot in the semis with a win over Honduras. A tall task no doubt, but what it is Bennie say again? "...In football 2 and 2 is almost never 4, its most of the time 3 or 5...".

Well not really. Panama is d side we suppposed to beat. That is like a side in La Liga taking & from Messi and Co. U expect that. Yeah it was bad, but we expect licks. Is do other sides besides Real and Barca who we supposed to beat regardless.
No heart and determination required for that.

So what wrong with Warner doing that if Groden can't say what happen to it after? It was cash. Jack will just say he had a meeting to go to and left it in his drawer for safe keeping. After his meeting, the money went where it was supposed to go.

This not helping build a case against Jack and Groden know that. He just say something without really saying anything.

Any side who have Shadohn Winchester coming off the bench, have goals in it.

Especially cause Caesar seems to be the super sub, so Winchester might not even be first off the bench.

And the defence has been decent for years.

Jake Thompson not u-23 btw? We throw him away or what?

Obviously, Anton Corneal has not been collecting a salary since 2006 in his various positions for the TTFF as that would be greedy as well.

Football / Re: TTFF must tackle Jack or face contempt charge

Jack is not a defendant in the case so the judge cannot order him. He is applying pressure to the TTFF who is the defendant and are using Jack warner's title as a special advisor as an excuse. The onus is on them to get the accounts.

You eh hear Kelvin Jack on Andre Baptiste last night saying that the day of the England game he met Jack in the lobby and ask Jack about the  spreadsheet. Jack, still in euphoria after the Sweden game I guess, tell him "Have no fear, I wil show you the spreadsheet and not only are you getting 50% but 60% of everything". Kelvin Jack say the man watch him in his eye and lie to him to his face and now years later trying to deny everything.

Euphoria my ass...

On a slightly different note, a hearing a rumour that the Syrians so powerful not just locally but internationally, that is George Nicholas train his sights on Jack and had enough weight to call the shot on him at the FIFA level, in addition to the UNC level and to protect the judge with this court case. I doh know if strings that large internationally but the timing does coincide with everything falling apart to Jack soon after that confrontation over CAL.

Football / Re: TTFF gets $36M State funding in six years
« on: February 03, 2012, 08:28:50 AM »
Yeah i know of 2 national athletes away on schol who get their elite funding cut in half and then pulled because they were injured and Anil say only "winners" getting money. They "retired" now cause they in college. So the training regime so disciplined if you want to make an Olympics that it have no time for college liming and partying. So when your country play like they doh care about u, that motivation gone to make those sacrifices. They could compete at college level but no need for that extra push to go all the way.
One of them even tell me how they had to sleep on the ground on the first night of  CAC last year because proper arrangements were not made for them. If Anil was on Spalk still that woulda be headlines!

I agree. He change after the injury. I thought it was just the national team he stop giving an effort for in fear of getting injured though...but it seems like it's his whole game.

Not too late though, Dwight went through a bad patch with Blackburn and Birmingham before finding the hunger and looking a class player again. Hopefully Kenwyne could pull his socks up too once d baby mama drama die down.

At least he have a plan...that's more than i expected from him.

I noted what he say about players carrying themselves off the field as well. Wasn't there some problem with him and discipline with the U-20 side that now makes up this u-23 side? He had issues with ipods or cell phones or something so.

Football / Re: TTFF gets $36M State funding in six years

Your point is well taken. I forgot that fete match teams need to use the stadium training ground so it has to be maintained and upgraded after all the bottles left behind every weekend.

Well, I won't complain as long as it is being spent on the average person it is still money well spent. I mean, who really need to look after professional or aspiring athletes? They have it made with all that talent already...they will make a money eventually once they committed. Is the average man like u and me and whoever vote UNC or COP who need to benefit right now !

I mean, who needs to qualify for a World Cup again? Or an Olympics? Or win a medal in a world championship?

(On a serious note, 2011 was the first year in possibly decades that we were dismal in every single sport. Even the cricket team did poorly in all the competitions entered. At least that change with the T20 victory this year, despite them being embroiled in an argument with Anil. Now that they back on winners row, he want to make up and be part of the team again.)

So if football didn"t get much money, cricket not getting money, athletics not getting the money....then who getting the money in sport?  Well besides Nikki Minaj.

Because I not seeing any physical upgrades being done.
All the annual sport camps were cancelled doing the august vacation.

Where is the Ministry of Sports budget being spent? On the avenue every friday and saturday?

Football / Re: Under-23s get past Finland 1-0
« on: February 01, 2012, 11:02:23 AM »
Well yeah. My point was who would add value. I think Hyland's experience in playing Champions League ball (hopefully regularly over the next few years) would add to the mix. Other than him, I not seeing what "experience" the other guys will bring. They don't have the value of a Latas or Yorke off the field.

I think maybe Birchall and Kenwyne...but Kenwyne has the potential to become a "lesser" Stern in that he would be keeping a younger player from progressing, but scoring even less.

Peltier young enough to not be considered one of the older breed but I would like him to be allowed to progress in Europe until about 2015 and then we could start to "bother" him.

Daryl Roberts is the one who would lose out the most cause he now start to establish himself on the national scene...but his playing could hinder a youngster's development and make us as a country weaker when World Cup time come around.

I also think Carlos could add but he would be pushing 38 by then and speed and stamina is a big part of his game as compared to a Beckham or Scholes. If he could re-invent himself like Giggs maybe.
I figure we owe it to Carlos to let him relax now though. Let him focus on his club career and make a money rather than have him flying back and forth.

So, apart from Hyland...would we really need any other current national team player for 2018 to add to this u-23 squad?
They should just let them be the national senior team from now. And leave Eve in charge at least until 2015 when WCQ in full swing. By then we could know if he ont he right track or if we need foreign help.

T&T players are not blacklisted in UK. Its the work permit restrictions causing the problems, plus no one looking this way because of poor national team performance. If the U23s make it to London, a few may get snapped up, but probably not by UK clubs.

That and because we really have no prospective talents like a Latas or Yorke. Jake Thompson and J"Lloyd Samuel could walk onto our national team right now...and look where they playing (or not playing)
