there should be a standing bonus structure that is available for men who play for the national team, it should be clear from the start of the campaign all the way up to the world cup final game, if it come to that.

If I score a goal in the first game to get up past guyana but do not plan in the final game versus peru do I not deserve a bonus.

Obviously the bonus should be less at the begining and more at the end if the expected revenue is more at the end.

But it should be known.

that is what the TTFA need to publish and focus on

not fete match and burying the hatchet.

Put proper things in place to run the thing professionally.

If I put in writing at the begining of the campaign in 2002 final bonus to be played to players 6000 USD up front then come 2006 man cannot complain that the money too small.

If you think the money too small dont play for the team.

Is this type of structure in place?

it is 2013

It is a money thing. Long ball not winning so they better football you play the better chance you have to move up the table and get more money etc....

very few teams really 100% on long ball, most teams put the ball down and play stoke is probably the worst in the epl

The better teams all play the passing game.

of course it is not to the level of spain but it is still a passing game.

weather is the biggest factor.

Muddy pitches are bad for build up game from the back.

so improvement in pitches over the years means better football.

Cold weather means men could press harder and higher up the field .

pressure causes man to kick long ball,

Jack was responsible for Carribean football for years, if it has reahed no where just 1 year after he left it means he did not really take it anywhere.

jack did one good think for the CFC bring the youth world cups which build the stadiums.

many countries got stadiums, Trinidad the most.

But he never really did anything for grassroot fooball infrastucture.

he wasted money bringing foreign coaches, once the coach leaves contribution is done.

he should have built it from the bottom up

He choose top town.

his approach was poor for long term development

But we know his main aim was how can he skim off the top.
Football performance was always secondary.

All the while nations all around the world have developed better methods of developing players.

They gap between the carribean and the top football nations in the world has gotten wider over the last 20 years or so.

That by definition makes Jack tenaure a failure as far as football development is concerned.

Football / Re: Skeene has high hopes for Pro League.

The league is not a success
but the league is a big success.

The fact that it still running is a success.

It helps football in trinidad because it allows our players to play at a "professional" level

without the league we will be dead even more than now.

So in a way Skeene can claim some success just by having the league

but is it a success?

Is the glass half full or half empty.

It better than no league that is for sure.

If he is on the US radar and had a chance to play for the US then he should use that opportunity, It will be better for his development.
More consitient competition and better structure for the program

honestly TnT youth program is not good at talent development and worse yet he is not living in trinidad so all he is doing is getting together for youth tournaments and games.

if he is not getting a look in for the USA and wants to play for TnT then that is a different story because it will bring him some exposure.

Facts is facts

he born and bread in the US and plays in the US football system.

All he really did was fill a huge gap in our football development.
Without fortune and the GK both US players the performance of the U17 team would go from decent to poor.
So all they are doing is hiding the weaknesses in the program that they are trying to help.

in the GK case I can understand since he did not make the US team.

But if this youth was in line to play for the US he should have stay there in the long run in would have gotten better training and exposure and would end up being a better player.

Once he gets to be an adult if he wants to play for his "Love" trinidad then by all means you done big already.

But at youth level development comes first.

if he were my kid I would advise him otherwise.

wonder if he was ever on the Radar for the US team.....

he played well in the tournament and the US team did not look extraordinary, I wonder if he was even on a regional team or something.

A lot of good players are falling through the cracks in the US

Loss for the US ...gain for TnT

Contact Pellrud(sp) they always looking for foreign based players, I assume she is in foreign, but 12 is too young, The youngest team they have is U17 and I doubt they have program in place for u12s ....is trinidad we talking bout.

It is time to clear up the bad debts before more dirt gets raised on the issue.

FIFA wants to put this behind them.

Now that the report is done on Jack they want to more forward.

Football / Re: Why are there no Pro League teams in Tobago?
« on: May 07, 2013, 09:14:28 AM »
Tobago is only 12 miles away from Toco and is probably only another 10-15 miles to Sangre Grande where North east united is based.

Tobago players could easily play for Northeast , that is only a 30 mile distance.

maybe we just need better transportation rather than a team in every community.

Sit down in the dessert under a tent and see how cool it is

cloud or no cloud it will still be hot.

climate is not an issue play in the heat all that is part of the game

UEFA countries just complain because it puts them at a disavantage however, middle eastern countries will have an upper hand.

The game will have to be adjusted to a walking pace, possesion game

It will bring out a new approach and may be quite interesting to watch.

This is the man that showed warner how it is done.

In 10 years Blatter will be implicated as well

this is how it go.

The older ones take the blame so the ones currently in power can take their turn.

Jack like he wanted 2, 3 turns he did not know everything have a begining a middle and an end

Football / Re: What is enough time to prepare teams.
« on: April 22, 2013, 12:43:29 PM »
you cannot focus on preparing teams, at youth level 6 months can be a big change in players men who was good in 2012 may not be as good in 2013. We need to have a program in place that has a Pool of players
In excess of 100 for Trinidad and 30 for Tobago in each calendar birth year.

As tournamanet time draws near we can fine tune the squad selection etc.

All 100 players should be in a similar development program for this to work.

Football / Re: Bayern v Barcelona 2013 Thread
« on: April 12, 2013, 10:58:14 AM »
Barca is boss but of all the teams Bayern probably have the best chance to beat them.

If bayern can keep the ball and attack I think they will win, Barca defense will not be able to withstand them.

But you cant score if you dont have the ball so first they will need to win the ball.

Martha could probably start on any pro league team ...legitimately.

She might even make trinindad national team.

Them girls might not be as ruff as the boys but they just as fit if not fitter and can handle the game.

The top women players in the world are very good.

This hex will stay close to the very end especially given the 4th place play off.  The only team that had the tendancy to run away was mexico because of the 15 home pts but tht is out the window.

Anybody can beat anybody.

I hoping the group stays bunched up it will make for better games as a neutral.

Change of location is

From Manny Ramjohn to Hasley crawford

Changing from Trinidad to Belize is

Things was not organized first to begin with maybe this stop gap would work.

Cancel the game Play against a PFL 11 give the transportation money to the players so they could stop complain about small stipends.

Jokeyness personified.

How come these types of situations dont happen with Brazil team schedule games.

seems like every other game we does have some comesssss

Football / Re: QUESTION: 3 Government teams in the Pro League.
« on: March 12, 2013, 11:57:34 AM »
Teams need to focus on developing players to be sold abroad , that is the most viable revenue source. This is W connection focus.

They always try to get their players sold for money might not be big money yet but that is teh viable option.

I great youth player does sell for 30-50 Million

an average 5-10 million

Look at the Argentina or Brazil model , how much money you think comming from player sales.

With that kind of millions if you could get 1 players sold every 10 years you making good money.

But the development must be there...

Football / Re: Is it time for a review process in Football?
« on: March 06, 2013, 10:49:26 AM »
Will the PFL or SSFL be able to afford the multiple camaras to review plays , Hire the staff to review the plays to make it effective.

At what level does the review stop.

One of the things FIFA try to do it keep the game the same at all levels

game is the same in London as in Soloman Islands.

They already have 5 refs watching the champions league
How much more do you really want to see.

All the rules that with

In the oppinion of the Referee............................

The ref gets paid to make the decision live by it.

It is not how much money you make........is how much you spend......

Is a catch 22, people say them players waste they money but at the same time what is the point of having money in you cant spend it.

As a professional player I can drive a civic or a mercedes both are cars one cost 20K US the other 100K US

Football / Re: No money in football, why not quit ?
« on: March 01, 2013, 10:53:52 AM »
I am sure pro league clubs are making money, the ones that done usually close up shop.

they might not make the gate receipts because fanse are limited
but the make a little money or break even

Money comes from Govt wright of for owners, sponsorship, prizemoney, selling players, marketing benefits etc

It may take a few years to break even but that is just upfront investment.

W connection for example are not just pumping money in for no reason, they must be doing it for some long term benefits.

Football / Re: Jones must step up, says Phillips.
« on: February 28, 2013, 11:07:17 AM »
Jones is a streaky player, he scores in bunches when he gets on a roll, Playing 2 games for TnT and then comming back in 2 months to play another 2 games means he never finds his form and hence rarely scores.

Thats ok, he can take up space cause the defense problems and create some knock downs for the supporting striker.

I would still play him because the defense has to mark him and this will free up the next striker.

Tallman...please add total number of caps next to the age....it would be interested to see how many young players are able to maintain and stay at the senior level or are they getting capped and then falling by the wayside.......

KJ can win head balls and score goals.

He is sure to be in the premiere league until he retires.

It would be good to see him at a top club, he is likely to get 20 goals a season.

Arsenal should get him, they need a physical presence.
