Easter Greetings to all Soca Warriors and their families. So yesterday was the start of the combine tryouts for foreign born Trinis. The turnout was  good. Saw one or former TT players who came to watch. Evans Wise, Kendall Walkes, Trevor Leiba. Even met Jean-Luc Rochford for the first time. Nice kid. Everything was well organized. At was held in NE DC at a refurbished city recreation center. Nice astro turf field. Players all set in their uniforms and thing.  Forum, there are some pretty good players in this batch. If we can get at least five or ten would be a good start.  I saw some good players. I saw one skinny read head kid doing somethings in the mid-field was pretty good. The games were fast and hard tackling. Some the players needed attention for various collisions.

I am familiar with one player. His name is Toafik Lucas-Walker. He is from the area and I think he has been to TT for tryouts in the past. He has grown into a fine young man. He is strong, fast and the attacks the 50/50 balls with tenacity. I say he ready for national duty. I might be biased. There was another tall lanky kid who played forward. Fast and good ball control. Did not get his name. Was told his dad is Wayne Federicks. Howard U. president. Not sure. Will verify.

This kind of sessions are long overdue. They are plenty of good foreign born out there. Right now I think some of them have the edge because they are in academies or playing for some of the development teams in the USSF or various state organizations. Today is the final day and down to Ft. Lauderdale. That's it, Warriors. Blessing.

thank you. we'll hear something about this from Eve and the TTFA in de next 4 weeks

Can anyone tell me when this Normalization Committee term is up?
Apparently they can't walk and chew gum at the same time. Now that they are concentrating on the ladies senior team for a tournament in November, our men will not be playing a SINGLE game during this international break. Our U14's couldn't get a run out in the CFU tournament. Vax or no vax, no information or timeline to resume local football  This is just shameful.

I don't know. But I do know is time for dem to go.

Not sure if this is true, but when they leave, they hand over the governance to someone only they can choose. In other words when they find that person, they leave that person to run the show. This can be the road of return for Mr you know who. . DJW.

Hoping this is not true........ and the wheels of the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round.....

TRINIDAD and Tobago basketballer Johnny Hamilton has been signed by NBA team Atlanta Hawks.

Reports said that Hamilton, 27, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Hawks.

Hamilton, who is seven feet tall, last played for EuroLeague club Fenerbahce and Adriatic Basketball Association club KK Mornar Bar during the 2020-2021 season.

Hamilton played for the Detroit Pistons G League team, Grand Rapids Drive, in the 2018-2019 season.

He has been signed to an Exhibit 10 contract which is a one-year, minimum salary deal that does not include the possibility of bonuses.

The way Hyland pull up and had ice on his hamstring, I don't expect to see him out there.
I hope LG and Bateau are being called up. How can we not call them?

I wouldn't risk Hyland with the Mexico game. I'll try for the other two group games.

1. we need a left back bad bad bad, they depended too heavily on Joevin Jones being there from what I heard. Those they use in the prelims not good enough. Mexico would have notice that also.
2. we need an identical replacement for Hyland if he cannot play. His influence in the middle for the team is undeniable
3. I'm very concern about the teams match fitness. I dunno what our trainers doing but dem men ain't fit. French Guiana who has not played an international game since 2019 players were fitter than ours.

After seeing that cut, not only was it a penalty but the player should have been sent off because the ref did go to VAR. A Guyana player was sent off for much less.  Respect to Aubrey David for continuing to play.

Lets be honest Montserrat is a shit team. This win does not mean anything. We will not know the direction our football is going until we play a much better team. Wait til we play a Central American team or a much better Caribbean team

.... and what you'll call Bahamas who ranked lower than Montserrat in FIFA

I wouldn't comment of de game right now because most of you'll saw it ..... so some behind de scenes tings .

The mood (vibes) in de camp is 100% better according to one insider. Another one say Fenwick was de worst coach to ever coach de national team and this person has been around de national set up for over ah decade.
I must say in terms of his pre game management Eve and his staff were very organized probably the most professional looking group last night with Haiti a distant second.

None of St Vincent goalies made it because of visa issues so a young teenage defender was put in goal
Barbados also had some players missing because of visa issues too.
Cuba ain't arrive yet, stuck in Nicaragua with visa problems and US Embassy doh open on a Saturday. Dey hoping for ah from the plane to de game situation.

Finally as one person put it although the team had a much improve performance, Coach Eve has already identified areas they need to work on.

On to Tuesday

Angus Eve would be a big mistake for T&T head coach.

Yuh could kiss all foreign based players good buy.

He fail as T&T youth coach when the TTFA had money, now they don't, what make you think he go do better.

He was coach for de under 20 and under 23 and fail big time.

We have no good local coaches because all of them stock on one level and have the same mentality.

well Sam de word out there is he got the job. Just waiting to appoint his staff.

well flocks.... what do you think? Not to sure he has the backing of the players after today's display. It was pathetic at best.
so a coach needs the backing of the players on a national team, so tell me this, if I don’t like the coach then I shagg the team and disappoint the fans just because I want the coach gone?? then why the blazes do you guys even support such shitty players, I know I won’t. BTW I believe jovin Jones should be history after this, this player has been pulling on my balls for a spell now. he’s grown way too big for his britches.

It appears that there's trouble in T&T camp. I've been around several T&T teams not only in football and I could tell you some behind the scenes stuff that will surprise you including one when we almost didn't play a final. Senior players play an important role in creating the right atmosphere/vibes in the camp and if they don't like or have respect for the coach things could get sour quickly which affects the performance.

was at the game yesterday against LA Galaxy. Joevin started, played almost the whole game, taken out at the end. Nothing special, you can definitely see the disconnect or miss understanding between Joevin and his teammates. I guess because he's new and they have to understand each other. I believe 2 of the 3 goals in La"s 3-2 victory came on Joevin side. The team wasn't also prepared for his accurate crosses from the left to inside the box. I guess as the season roles on the communication will be better, let's see.
