"Head coach Francisco Maturana made some radical changes from the team that did not qualify for the last World Cup. He brought back some veterans who were excluded by the previous regime, such as 36-year-old Dwight Yorke and Major League Soccer veteran Cornell Glen, while giving the cold shoulder to veterans such as Stern John, the striker from Southampton in England.

somebody send a internet bullpistle fuh dat man nah ... ah sure he go get he facts straight after dat.    steups

How can you support a coach whose decisions are suspect?  Especially when there aren't the results to prove it?  I was in a conversation where men was berating Pacho and I was saying give de man a chance.  Now I aint so sure.  Would Stern, D. Roberts and Birchie have made a difference in the result? Maybe not but ah 90% sure the attitude and psychology of it would have made a better team.  It only getting harder from here, leh we try an help we own self.

Ah was in covered too, dunno if mih arse could see dat again in these wcq at these prices.  It seems like players had the chance in the first half to impress de coach but ... salt.  Scotland look like a fat man, holding up de ball and doing nuttin with it.  No midfield, usual boom kick for de forward to try and get.  *steups*

Ah meet 3 old test in dey red jersey, dem didn't know much about the current side but know plenty bout history of sport.  Was trying to figure out if dem could be considered waggonist.  Entertainment fuh so.

What about Track & Field / Re: This CARIBBEAN CREDITS thing
« on: August 22, 2008, 09:18:20 AM »
Iz kinda like a family ting.  Yuh does quarrel wid yuh siblings at home but doh let anybody outside test dem, yuh go fight!!! When yuh outside yuh does gravitate tuh people from your region.  Working globally yuh proud of your region too except when people arks yuh if Trinidad is a part of Jamaica.  Ah sure when we make de world cup the Caribbean was taking dem pips too.  We're a fragmented bunch except when we perform good on de world stage.  Ah dont think yuh could deny people taking pips when that happen.  It have too much negative politics for us not to take pips when we region performing.  My Euro 0.02.

:applause:  Congratulations to the Jakans for a race well run.  It would have been hard to beat them on paper and certainly on the track.  Big up to our boys as well, we could have not asked for anything more (except for a cleaner handover on the final leg).  Congrats a great achievement for the Caribbean!   :applause:

  We have to thank the US for dropping de baton as well
