Man City manager said that it is the same year after year at the Stadium of Light. Merry Xmas to fans of Sunderland!

Away to Manu today KO 3.00

Not a lot of expectation  ;)

I was expecting ManU to run over Sunderland, but that was not the case. Sunderland started off slowly in the first half, but certainly played well in the second half. ManU’s 1st and last goal were really due to poor defending.

The games are being carried live on Radio Tambrin:

.
For  a long time now, one of my favorite Apps is TuneIn radio and Tambrin is available on Tunein.  Good to be on the road, and tambrin coming in clearly over the car stereo system.

Score right now

T&T 2 – 0 Suriname

Thanks very much for making this compilation. Your hard work is very much appreciated.  If you are contemplating an updated version, then it might be worthwhile to add an intro slide to some of the most significant segments.

Sunderland   1 – 1 Newcastle

A decent game today, sunderland deserved the point.  More impressed with Newcastle:  a balanced team with firepower up front.

BEIN sports channel is fantastic.  I recently noticed that on dish network it is Channel 408.  It seems as though most of  the Concacaf WC qualifiers (excepts of course for those on the major networks) will be on bein. Right now Guatemala vs Antigua-Barbuda is on.

Bein could become bigger that fox soccer.

I had a chance to see the game (Sunderland  vs Everton) today.  The goal by Sunderland was in some ways deserved, although there was a little bit of luck.  The penalty was unfortunate.  Everton was surprisingly poor.

Kev, thanks very much for the updates.  Wishing Sunderland the best of luck for the remainder of the season!

O'Neill "says yes to Sunderland"

Martin O'Neill has agreed to succeed Steve Bruce as Sunderland manager, BBC Sport understands.

Andre...yuh really spell it out there.

Yuh get rid of 4 top strikers and bring in a shithond and two unknowns  :rotfl:

Madness.

Even if yuh side is a bunch of labourers...yuh need a bess goalkeeper and a bess striker.

The South Korean guy ( Ji  or Wong-Ji) could turn out to be a miracle signing. To me, it seems as though the  Koreans play well in the big leagues.  I don't understand the crowd reaction after he scored.

Happy for Wigan and Roberto Martinez! Wolves deserve to be in the Premiership.

Seeing the deflection on the last goal, in the Tottenham – Birmingham game, and the deflation of the coach and fans, that was painful. Sorry for Birmingham … .

Gordon out for six months

Sunderland have suffered a blow with the news goalkeeper Craig Gordon is to miss their relegation run-in.

The Scotland international is out for four to six months after undergoing knee surgery in Sweden on Monday.

The 28-year-old flew out to see world-renowned tendon specialist Professor Hakan Alfredson and is now recuperating after the operation went well.

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce told the club's official website on Tuesday: "Craig had the operation yesterday and it went well.  "He'll be out for about four to six months now.

Sunderland v West Brom KO 3.00 PM GMT

Haven't a clue how this is going to turn out.

In the post match interview Bruce complained about the injuries and to be fair it is not so easy to dismiss that point.

The EPL game on Sunday is at a very convenient time (breakfast time) for us on the West Coast and so it is usually nice to catch it.

Sunderland gave up after the second goal.

Personally think they had given up before KO.

Adject although not surprising performance.

No Jones + No Bent = No Good

The absence of Jones is not a real loss for Sunderland, and in some ways the team seems to be playing better without him.  Sunderland is a good side.  The new defender Mensah is good; Welbeck is impressive …. etc  .

A very exciting game today!  Sunderland displayed one of the best defensive efforts I have seen in a long time, and it is true that they did have a little bit of luck.   The team could still end the season in a respectable position.

This news is shocking.  Bent seemed to have found his football home at Sunderland.  He is worth the 18 mil especially if he is going to Villa, or stated differently 18 mil is a fair price for Villa to pay given their circumstances.   Steve Bruce probably has the managerial skills to make a wonder move for another player --- we will see.

I just catch the end of the first half of Stoke vs Man City.
I really hate how KJ just strolls around.
After he makes his run to the middle of the box, he just walks.
He never ready to pounce on the ball, he reacts after the ball is already heading his way.
If he would learn to be more proactive he would get more chances on goal.

Today I hope he gets 2 perfect crosses and buries them.

Like Tallman was limin late last night.  Mods yuh need help with the Trinis in Action thread?

I am not disagreeing with you. However Jones is involved in not just most, but a significant fraction, of Stoke City’s goals and real efforts on goal.
