Joe Public and Jabloteh yet to be separated.

Missed chances was the song that was sung after the top of the table clash between San Juan Jabloteh and Joe Public ended in a goalless draw at the Larry Gomes Stadium on Saturday night.
Both teams going into the match on 15 points each—and at the end of 90 minutes the scenario remains the same, both teams now on 16 points, with Joe Public having a slightly better goal difference.
Any of the teams could have taken the match, with the best chance falling to Joe Public’s Gary Glasgow when he was put through one on one with the goal keeper—but his shot went straight to Daurance Williams in goal for Jabloteh.
In the first match on the night, Caledonia AIA Fire’s inconsistency popped its ugly head once again, as the ‘Men from Morvant’ went down to Starworld Strikers 0-1.
Its was against the run of play—that Nigel Hart struck giving Starworld their 2nd victory this season—once again Caledonia only have themselves to blame as they squandered a number of chances.
Now while goals were hard to come by in Arima—down at the Ato Boldon Stadium—goals came left, right and center—as defending champions W Connection trying to make up some lost ground—dispatched Superstar Rangers with consummate ease—the Couva based unit running away 5-0 winners.
Local striker Andre Toussaint struck a hattrick, with Earl Jean and Andrei Pacheco getting the other items on the night—Connection still remains in 4th place nudging up to 13 points.
In the first game of the double header at the Ato Boldon Stadium—Defence Force celebrated their first victory of the season as they rolled past Tobago United 3-1. The Army got goals from Odelle Armstrong, Christian Baptiste and Ronald Boyce. Keon Samuel scored the lone goal for Tobago.
Meantime on Sunday, North East Stars stayed in close touch with the leaders—as the ‘Sangre Grande Boys’ squeezed out a 1-0 win over United Petrotrin—thanks to a 2nd half strike by Howard Lowe. Coach Miguel Hackett and his men moved on to 15 points, just 1 adrift of the joint leaders Jabloteh and Joe Public.

The real measure of a man's character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.
