Look Dada dread, whey sah, memories. I basically grew up playing football in the savannah and played lots of games against Trendsetters. Back in the day in my age group was men like Hardest, Papa, Chesley Walters, just to name a few. He always had the drive for coaching youths and it's good to see he still has a passion for it. He spoke a lot of sense in his interview and he's definitely making a difference in the EDR area.
I wonder if Gamba from Rangers still coaching youths as well?

A conversation with Anthony "Dada" Wickham on the culture of youth football in T&T and the associated challenges in developing and shaping players. Apologies for the excessive wind noise in the background.

Masons Elite U-9s triumph at Trendsetter football
T&T Newsday

The Masons Elite Under-9 team triumphed handsomely at the Trendsetter Hawks Football Tournament which kicked off last weekend at the Brian Lara Recreational Ground, Santa Cruz.

Braving the weather, this collection of talented 7-9 year olds did well to overcome the challenge posed by other Under-9 teams such as Queen’s Park, Caledonia AIA, the Waterloo Institute and the hosts themselves, among others, to remain unbeaten throughout, conceding just one goal along the way.

The elite team, coached by Kion Williams and based in Port of Spain, is an effort to keep the youngsters in regular training and competition with children of similar talent level from an early age in order to enhance their development and teamwork.

Their victory was their second this year after winning a youth competition in San Fernando previously.

The Trendsetter Hawks tournament was a fund-raising effort by the Trendsetter Hawks Football Academy toward an upcoming tour to Spain.

WATCH: Anthony "Dada" Wickham has been coaching a generation of footballers for over 40 years. Players such as Densill Theobald, Kerwin Jemmott and Jomal Williams all kicked off their football career at Trendsetter Hawks in East Port of Spain. The football dad says that some of the children's fathers have fallen to gun violence and wants to use football to show them that another type of life exists. The club consists of over one hundred and twenty boys and girls.

Cant wait to play against them next week. The problem with this program is that if we beat them next week......we could still have to play against them in the final.
