Club TSTT continues to be the sensation that its debut performance against last year’s second-placed team Crab Connection promised as the outfit picked up its second win of the 2006 TSTT Super League a 2-1 come-from behind victory over Angostura 1976 F.C Phoenix.
Playing at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar yesterday Phoenix went ahead in the 29th minute off the boot of Kevin Stewart and maintained its advantage to the interval.
Soon after the resumption, in the 59th minute, Fabian Garcia put in the equaliser before Adrian Nunez scored the eventual winner in the 64th minute. PLIPDECO Caroni recorded a convincing 4-0 win over Robby's Engineering Couva Players United at Gilbert Park, Couva.

T&T Newsday Reports.

TSTT and Police were the early winners on the opening day of the 2006 bmobile Super League yesterday.
The debutants Telecommuni-cations Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT) needed a 90th minute winner from Adrian Nunez to defeat hosts Crab Connection 3-2 at the San Juan Senior Comprehensive Ground.
And the lawmen held off House of Dread by a similar scoreline at the Larry Gomes Stadium, Malabar.
In San Juan, Trevor Shallow gave TSTT a 31st minute lead before Irvin Trim tied the scores seven minutes later.
Fabien Garcia converted a 51st minute penalty to put TSTT ahead for the second time, but 20 minutes later, Carlon Harewood equalised for the “Crabs”.
The match seemed destined for a draw, until Nunez’s late heroics.
Brian Bain netted a double for Police, in the 29th and 70th minutes while Curt Danclair notched a penalty in the 79th, with Kevin Baptiste (65th) and Stevon Stoute (90th) responding for the season’s newcomers.
Two matches ended in goal-less draws— the clash between WASA FC and Defence Force FC at the WASA Ground, St Joseph and the encounter with Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix and PLIPDECO Caroni at Canaan, Bon Accord. Up to press time, Couva Players United were locked in battle with M&M Harvard at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva.
