Phoenix take Super League knockout title.
T&T Express Reports.

Angostura 1976 Phoenix FC needed kicks from the penalty spot to secure the TSTT Super League knockout title over Crab Connection on Sunday at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet.
The scoreline read 2-2 at the end of regulation time, but the Tobago outfit finally prevailed 3-1 over last year's league runners-up in the ensuing shootout.
Geromey Stewart started the ball rolling when he found the net in the 18th minute for a Phoenix lead. Nine minutes later Marlon Warner produced the equaliser, and the teams went into the dressing rooms at halftime tied at 1-1.
Shelton Williams restored Phoenix's lead in the 74th and that seemed to be enough before Brian Wallace's 90th minute attempt left them level at 2-2. But Phoenix proved superior from the spot to run away with the trophy.
In other Super League action over the weekend, WASA FC earned a slim 3-2 victory over Caroni FC, while Leeson Spann left it until late to give Couva Players United a 1-0 victory over Club TSTT in the 86th.
The other match-up saw Defence Force go under 3-2 to House of Dread thanks to a 46th minute item by Kevin Baptiste, after the teams were locked at 2-2 at halftime.

Super League Knockout final:

Crab Connection 2 (Marlon Warner 27th, Brian Wallace 90th) v Angostura 1976 Phoenix 2 (Geromey Stewart 18th, Shelton Williams 74th).

Angostura 1976 Phoenix won 3-1 on penalties.

League Results:

Plipdeco Caroni FC 2 (Phanor Gonzales 30th, Marvin Joseph 35th) v WASA FC 3 (Marlon Minguel 47th, Jerome Dickson 49th, Anthony Dhanoolal 75th).
