Fatima, Malick progress in InterCol.

Fatima College and Malick Senior Comprehensive booked semi-final berths opposite each other in the North Zone RBTT InterCol with 3-0 and 1-0 victories yesterday over St Mary's College and Trinity College, respectively.
Defending champions Fatima and six-time National League winners Malick will do battle at the Hasely Crawford Stadium next Saturday, after their triumphs in a double-header at the same venue.
Jevon Morris found the net in the second half to sink hapless St Mary's, after Sherron Joseph and national youth midfielder Jean Luc Rochford put Fatima 2-0 up at the interval.
CIC, relegated to the Senior Division after this season for the first time in 23 years, had little to lose, and a lot to prove against their long-time rivals Fatima. St Mary's started the match positively. Maurice Beggs, who was their best player on the night, started off the attack, chipping straight to the advancing Foncette from less than 18 metres out.
St Mary's battled hard, knowing it might well be their last match of the season. They looked like they would hold Fatima at bay for the first half as well, that is, until Joseph was allowed too much room at the centre of the area in the 28th, and deposited his left-footer in CIC custodian Matthew Jardim's near post.
Three minutes later Rochford was allowed to sprint from halfline, and he held off his marker long enough to place his low shot into the CIC far post.
St Mary's began the second half in the same fashion, but Morris' strike took whatever wind they had left out of their sails, as they slunk out of a fruitless season.
Malick, in contrast, needed a late strike by Holland Joseph to get past a determined Trinity College outfit that in addition to their opponents had to battle a muddy pitch for their chance to advance.
In the Southland, Presentation College (San Fernando) arranged a meeting with Princes Town with a 4-3 dismissal of St Benedict's College by kicks from the penalty mark, after a goalless scoreline at the end of regulation and sudden-death extra time.
P Town, on the other hand, had a much easier time when they met Fyzabad Composite. Jessie Edwards' beaver-trick sealed a comfortable 5-1 victory for the "Green Hornets".
Edwards had his hat-trick in the first 45 minutes of the encounter, netting in the eighth, 38th and 43rd minutes, while Keron Garib got on the scoresheet for P Town in the 41st.
Edwards' fourth goal came in the 55th, as he eluded 'Fyzo' goalie Neil Williams before hitting the roof of the net. P Town and Pres will meet at the Marabella Stadium on November 14 for a place in the South Zone InterCol final.
