Stokely Vale Tobago football kings.
By: George Baptiste (Newsday).

Stokely Vale are the new kings of football in the sister-island Tobago. And “The Vale” clinched the title in the Warner Group of Companies-sponsored Tobago Football Association Premier League in style on Sunday.
Stokely Vale thumped Sidey’s 6-0 with Michael Carrington and Devon Leacock both scoring doubles while prolific Curtis Job and Keno Kerry adding one each.
The victory in the final round of competition pushed “The Vale” to 44 points, six clear of nearest rivals Goal City who led the standing for more than three months before stumbling at the final hurdles.
And at the other end of the spectrum, Sidey’s, last year’s FA Cup winners Pepsi Hills United and Mason Hall Police Youth Club will all have to play off with the top two teams from the Conference series for a place in next year’s Premier League.
Last year’s champions Charlotteville Unifiers signed off the season with a 3-3 draw with St Clair’s Coaching School, winners of the title the first three seasons it was introduced.
Kervern Murphy lashed in two goals and Kevon Martin the other for Unifiers while Vernon Wilson scored a double and Keno Proctor the other for Coaching School.
Goal City ended their programme with a narrow 3-2 victory over Sidey’s on Friday last.
Kayode Legall scored two goals and Kerlon Ferguson one for the winners while Keron Gray got a goal and an own-goal was the reply.
Pepsi Hills failed to improve their position, playing to a 1-1 draw with Roxborough Lakers.
Dyke Reid scored the Lakers goal and Dwayne Scott got the equaliser.
And Earlbrokes escaped having to playoff following their 3-2 triumph over Georgia who made a gallant late run at the title before capitulating.
Deon Thomas netted twice for Earlbrokes and Hendy Waldron got the other goal. Warren Phillips and Deon Off scored for Georgia. Stokely Vale ended their season in a blaze of glory with their women taking the title in their category.
