Marcano nets a double as Jabloteh devoured SV Britannia raw.
By: Randy Bando (ttproleague.com).

CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh continued their magnificent form on Tuesday with an 8-0 victory against SV Britannia of Aruba in their second Group D match of the Caribbean Club Championship at the Lionel Roberts Stadium, US Virgin Islands.
Pro League’s player of the month of November Jason Marcano starred on the night registering a goal on either side of the half to boost the ‘San Juan Kings’ goals record in the group stage of the Championship.
Striker Trent Noel opened the scoring against the SV Britannia in the 16th minute and two minutes later national midfielder Kerry Baptiste netted another.
With total control over the match Jabloteh continued scoring as midfielder Marcano registered his first in the 21st minute and Wendell Joseph making it four goals by the 35th minute.
Young sensation Lester Peltier cushioned off for Jabloteh in the 45th minute as they took to the half with a 5-0 advantage.
Marcano pierced Britannia’s defence for the second time and proved he was the man of the moment as he opened the scoring in the second period to get his double in the 51st minute.
Coach Terry Fenwick then decided to rest his star of the night Jason Marcano, replacing him with Michael Alexis who also got on the score sheet with his 74th minute strike as Jabloteh continued to entertain the Lionel Roberts Stadium crowd.
All was not over for the discouraged SV Britannia as they conceded their eighth goal in the 79th minute. Akiel Guevara who replaced Lester Peltier was the second substitute to score on the night as San Juan Jabloteh comfortably walked away with an 8-0 win.
The Pro League team now sits comfortably on top of the Group D standings with full points ahead of Sap FC (ANT), SV Britannia (ARU) and New Vibes (VIR).
In the other Group D match Sap FC enjoyed a 3-1 win against home team New Vibes. San Juan Jabloteh would meet New Vibes in their final Group D match on Thursday night as they look to a clean sweep with three wins.

San Juan Jabloteh: – Daurance Williams (Gk), Lester Peltier (Akiel Guevara), Trent Noel, Kerry Baptiste, Wendell Joseph, Jason Marcano (Alexis Michael), Ian Gray, Nigel Daniel, Peter Prosper (Aurtis Whitley), Ronald Primus, Cyd Gray.

Goal Scorers – Jason Marcano 21st, 51st, Trent Noel 16th, Kerry Baptiste 18th, Wendell Joseph 35th, Lester Peltier 45th, Alexis Michael 74th, Akiel Guevara 79th.

Coach – Terry Fenwick: Satisfied Terry Fenwick, Coach of the Pro League club San Juan Jabloteh spoke with ‘ttproleague.com after the match and said, “We held ourselves very well and won comfortably by eight goals but this doesn’t mean that SV Britannia is not a good team. They played us an ok match but just wasn’t up to our standard. As for our team (San Juan Jabloteh), the guys had a wonderful night with a number of players getting on the score sheet which is good for the team.”
“Just as the match before against Sap FC we dominated the entire game and created quite a number of goal scoring chances which we converted. But apart from Marcano’s double and the rest of the goals, I have to say that Trent Noel’s goal was magnificent strike,” ended the jubilant Jabloteh coach.

Jabloteh pummels Britannia 8-0, nears semifinals of Caribbean Club Championship

The Associated Press

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands
Jason Marcano scored a goal in each half and Trinidad's San Juan Jabloteh routed Aruba's SV Britannia 8-0 Tuesday to move to the brink of reaching the Caribbean Club Championship semifinals.

Jabloteh's victory gave it six points atop qualifying Group D, three more than Antigua's Sap FC in second place with one game remaining.

Marcano scored in the 20th and 52nd minutes, after Trent Noel and Keston Pierre already had given Jabloteh a 2-0 lead by both scoring in the 15th minute.

Sap FC, which Jabloteh beat 4-0 on Sunday, kept its hopes alive with a 3-1 victory over host club New Vibes.

After Sap's Eluin Williams and New Vibes' Marlon Wilton traded goals in the 20th and 35th minutes, Tyio Simon restored Sap's lead in the 54th and Okeem Challenger added the insurance in the 74th minute.

Jabloteh can clinch its place in the semifinals and join Haiti's Baltimore Sportif and Jamaica's Harbour View — which already have clinched their berths — with a draw against New Vibes on Thursday. Sap FC faces SV Britannia in Thursday's other game.

The four group winners advance to the semifinals. The Caribbean Club Championship winner qualifies for the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

In Kingston, Jamaica, Damion Williams scored midway through the second half and Jamaica champion Waterhouse rallied to draw 1-1 with Curacao's Deportiva Banda Abou in the final game of the Group B qualifying.

Baltimore Sportif already had secured its place atop the group and a berth in the semifinals having beaten both Waterhouse and Deportiva.

Waterhouse's Michael Stone gave Deportiva a first-half lead, deflecting the ball into his own net for an own-goal

Whatever you do, do it to the purpose; do it thoroughly, not superficially. Go to the bottom of things. Any thing half done, or half known, is in my mind, neither done nor known at all. Nay, worse, for it often misleads.
